I'm quite disappoint with Jerry Clinic, he just play riff and licks, but no groove at all, not interesting.

The problem with many guitarist is that , they only play the same scale(notes)They know them well ,but after they have problem learning new technique .You see that a lot of ppl playing guitar good.But they only play the same crap for years.

Actually, people laughed because he was "singing" the notes he was playing with the guitar... so, he explained that when u sing the notes u should sing not that bad as he does.

the joke in the beginning plays on how he seems pitch deaf. he says, i may not sing the notes right, that's why i play a guitar and don't sing.

basically his whole lesson is all about how we must practice our scales and know them so well that it seems as if our hands remember the scales by heart. when he plays the song, he says he never really went out to learn the song, but just because he knows what the song sounds like, he knows wut key its in and thus can play it by ear w/o having exactly practiced the song before.

what jerry is trying to explain is why it is important to have knowledge of scales and patterns because you can use that to play with songs and have a melody in your head to put into action with the guitar.
