Yes, alot of people try weed, have drinking problems, and have done other drugs as well. So finally a candidate with enough balls to say he did what everyone else does, will, in a sense, be more in touch with voters. So, there is the motive for him to embellish his drug use so he can gain more votes. If that is the case it is unethical and would not be the type of person you want in office. But then again, none of them are ethical, so you're right... fuck it.
Saying you did drugs and then run for president isn't the smartest move kiddo. he has no reason at all to lie about using drugs. If he did drugs he is best of telling everyone before some republican journalist finds proof he snorted something years back. That could destroy his campaign. If he didnt do drugs at all, saying you did drugs is a good way to lose voters. so not wise
