Goethe war auch jung und in der Zeit in der er in Frankfurt gelebt hatte haute er auf die Kacke xD

Finanzielle Probleme hatte er dank seines Großvaters nie, da dieser 4 Gasthäuser in Frankfurt besaß.

Goethe is in my top 5 poets

Rimbaud, Pushkin, Blake and Byron are the others

Schiller is my 2nd fav. playwright--behind the August Strindberg

Great ! I like Blake and Byron to ! Pushkin i have some books from but i only have read the captains'daughter. And Rimbaud to , but i dont have all his poems yet ( i got ''les fleurs du mal'' from Baudelaire ) But nice to see u have the same taste !!! there is also a biography about byron on you tube, from history channel i elieve . greetings !!!

But you really have to read his letters to understand what drove him

Rimbaud thought the world of Baudelaire and loved his book on hashish

I've read all the poems of the authors I listed, except off course Goethe, who's oeuvre is ginormous--I have read the big works

Schiiler--I've actually read all his plays--and all his poems--I'm kinda working my way into his essays---I don't think Ill read his history

Ein sehr stimmungsvolles Bild, ein eindrucksvolles Werk über den großen Dichter.

Umso mehr freue ich mich, Goethe durch den hervorragenden Schauspieler Rolf Hoppe verkörpert zu sehen.

Seine Stimme ist (für mich) unverwechselbar. Den letzten Zweifel nahm sein Spiel der Augen.
