I only use 2-2lb club bells. Not heavy sure but I use them as part of my warm-up and on off days. Great on my shoulders. And despite being light...I'd swear my shoulders have thickened over the last 12 months. I actually compared photos. crazy
@ThyrmBloodaxe Pretty sure they won't. To get swollen you have to isolate the muscles and do the old "2 muscles a day - 3 exercises of 3 sets of 8 - 10 reps each".
I recommend the 15lb. It will give you enough of a challenge while not making things impossible. It might feel light, but that's ok. You want to get the technique down with each exercise. Some exercises will definitely be harder than others!
No worries. It is definitely an old method of training. They are one of the best tools for loosening up the shoulders, elbows, and wrists and are great for recovery days. I would definitely look into them
Unfortunately, the front swing ruined my S.I. joint... there's no fixing that injury...:/

very old but im not knocking it, its all good,
i found a set of wooden ones in a yard sale and the guy said they were circa 1940`s
