  • Beautifull

  • Did anyone else get a ragin hard one when misha slams that solo out? Did anyone cum in their pants when spencer's voice took over after the solo?

the answer to those questions is yes, you all should have. If you didn't then you have no musical taste at all.

  • Absolutely an amazing band, what would we do without Misha Mansoor, or any of the rest? :D

  • 1:01 spencer turns into a flying squirrel

  • thats not even the same bannid..dammit

  • so far the worst song i heard..we lose another awesomly talented band to commercialism

  • @TheHaze406 Really? The worst? Then admit to everyone right now that you are in love with Justin beiber's music...... Don't worry I'll wait.

  • love peripherys screams, but in all honesty, like this clean version better. guess i either wore out the old version or... idk. this is better

  • At first hearing Periphery... I thought it was noise, but it was called Prog... time signatures that mix or something. The vocals are now my 'singin' in the shower' thing to be for a long time as long as misha lives

  • Great, my ears just jizzed everywere. Do you know how hard that is to clean up?

  • its different from the cd...wth lol cant sing along if it changes xD

  • D. W. Winburn, the Man Who Never Grew Old, finally decides to die.

  • @bklyn977 you know what? You are the shittiest troll ever. I hope you die a horrible death by gangrape/stabbing, and I hope that they dump your rotting corpse in the ocean where you can get buttfucked by free Willy, flipper, and mega-shark while Davy Jones fucks your mouth till your rotting teeth fall out.

Jk :) I like Travis Orbin too. Both are amazing IMO.

  • amazing band. saw them live once and it was incredible, go see them if you haven't yet! Their performances are even better than the stuff they record (especially the vocals and drums)

  • Spencer's voice is brilliant.

  • original version is better, but this gets the job done

  • @Lexaeus775 They're both just as good as each other.

  • Let me start by saying I LOVE this band. But...I'm not really happy with this remix. The original version is MUCH better. I think the screaming durring the breakdown brings this song to life and it was removed from this verison of the song. Cool vid, great song, please don't sell out to radio verions of songs, guys.

  • @MistaStoney It's just preference homie. I prefer metal vocals over singing anyday and I love my metal heavy but I prefer this version over the original. It just feels like I get more emotion out of it. I see your point though.

  • @MistaStoney Oh no, they replaced screaming with singing! dearest me! its as if the quality of the song got downgraded! bullshit. both versions are equally great.

  • @ArcticB4Desert For real tho? Ur gonna hate on my honest opinion...and 3 months after my post. Okay, loser. I said that it took away from the dynamics of the original. I love the origial version. They're a fucking djent metal band. They scream. Thats part of the genre. Don't be a troll.

  • Matt Halpern's drumming is sensational. The work he puts behind the kit is just amazing. The music is heavy as hell, but the ambiance is there, putting the heaviness of this tune behind it, mixing like a blender full of guitar, drum, bass, and vocals just mixing into a giant Periphery smoothie, per se. I love this whole cd, stays in the cd player all the time

  • @alexkills not trolling or anything, just stating my opinion here. ive heard a lot say they think Matt's great and he is good, but IMO their previous drummer travis orbin brought much more to the table. still both good drummers and awesome band

  • I like the part with the guitars, bass, drums, and singing.

  • What a gorgeous fucking song, I'm borderline obsessed with this band lol

  • Have they really run out of song names? rofl...

  • @miketh2005 It's a reference to the show Arrested Development.

  • @miketh2005 I heard they really dont care about song names, and if it sounds amusing they use it.

  • @miketh2005 ....It's the same song as before just altered...

  • The Icarus EP cannot come soon enough.

  • @SimplyMarcusP Frak the Gods will be up on their Facebook on Thursday at least, can't wait.

  • You know, if they did more of their future songs with only clean vocals, I wouldn't mind. In my opinion, this song is much better without screaming. But the original is still awesome.

  • Periphery is one of my newest fav bands along side TesseracT!!

  • that is one damn good looking mic that singer has

  • This is just so beautiful...

  • WTF they took out the part at 3:12? Why!?

  • no screaming is ok with me when the make the vocals really fucking cool like this :-)

  • just noticed the editing fail at 3.21 :P

  • its like the scenery of Call of Duty MW2 when the guy left the graveyard ;)

  • I can't stand how he whispers at 0:26....it's the only thing about this version that bugs me. Other than that, it's sick!

  • Fantastic. I love the album version, and i love this version. I wouldn't worry too much about them changing their style to appeal to a wider audience, i just don't think they'd go into writing music with that attitude. Now please excuse me while i listen to this on repeat for the next 48 hours.

  • This is just. Wow. Fucking sick video and an incredible song!!!

  • love it!

  • wahhhhh they took 3 lines of screaming out (including the little alex part, so really like 2) wahhhhhhhh. stop whining

  • It's cool I guess...I'm kinda disappointed they took out one of the heaviest parts, but it's still an awesome song nonetheless.

  • Personally, I think this version is much better than the album version. I liked the album and this song a lot, but this is just incredible.

  • Very nice!

  • At first I really thought Periphery had sold out and gone mainstream, but the more I've listened to it, the more I love it. It makes you realise how talented these guys are that they can write in such a wide span of genres from their early djent to now. I'm seeing them next week and I think this may be the song I'm most looking forward to hearing!

  • Excuse them for being diverse and not making every single song the same. Periphery is one of the most dynamic bands out there today and every song they make has it's own sound. Don't give them crap for not screaming.

  • Wish they kept the screaming at the end instead of making it a singing part...the vocals are great, but i miss the original stuff.

  • is the last note of the solo killswitch like pinch or a held note? every part of this version is better!

  • Can't wait to see you guys in Little Rock! Simply bad ass guys!

  • This version is so much better.

  • Periphery just got bad.

  • @rezOnanceUK You just got gayer.

  • @kelsfknpeach This song is a prime example of what i dont want Periphery to become. This new version:

    - No screaming

    - More cheesy

The word commercial comes to mind... While Periphery are becoming more and more popular, i dont want them to change their music to make it appeal to the majority. Periphery should keep the style that got them to this stage to begin with. Iv liked Periphery for a long time, since they were quite underground. I dont want them to change =[

  • @rezOnanceUK Have you seen the live videos of Frak The Gods? They are definitely not going soft. I like that they're diverse, and I love having both versions of Jetpacks to listen to.

  • @rezOnanceUK I don't think Periphery and Misha are ever going to write music that they don't enjoy themselves. So deal with it. Misha said himself that he prefers this radio edit to the original.

  • @soadquake981 Of course they're going to keep writing music that they enjoy, but that doesnt stop them diluting their content to make it appeal to wider audiences. Periphery are getting big, and fast.. they shouldn't have to adjust their style to please people who don't like screaming etc. I know of a few bands who released songs that were really commercial just to get them played on the radio / get them in the charts.Imo this is periphery's version of that type of song. Hopefully its the last.

  • @rezOnanceUK I actually LOVE that they are making versions to appeal to the majority. The more people I can share this amazing music with, the more Periphery gets listened to. It doesn't detract to the quality at all. Periphery is a band. Bands are poor. If they can make more money by taking screaming out of a song, more power to them, just so long as it doesn't make the song worse. Which it doesn't, at all (in my opinion).

  • @kylepoobear This is exactly what Pendulum did. First album was amazing, proper good drum n bass. The next album was like "....................................". They only did it to be more appealing to a wider audience, the music became less interesting, more cheesy, lacked a lot of the features the previous album had. This song is showing signs of a similar pattern, and thats what im scared about. Im not saying this song is particually bad, i'm just saying its a step in the wrong direction. ;)

  • @rezOnanceUK ...Frak the Gods is probably going to be one of Periphery's heaviest songs... I doubt Periphery will go in the same direction that Pendulum did.

  • @rezOnanceUK Well don't worry to much. This is just new edited version of this song.

  • Great show at the ottobar tonight!

  • Awesomeness

  • Yea shadowbot what the he'll are you talking about

  • Wow, I'm really surprised. Misha hasn't tried to plug his new drum patches, guitar lessons at upcoming shows or brown nose any other musical project for a whole 4minutes and 27 seconds.

  • @shadowbot09 u mad bro?

  • @shadowbot09 you are absolutely right, and I'm sorry ill try harder this year to post more even frequently haha!

  • Some people will buy the album and then go where the fuck did all this screaming come frome

  • 3:39 theres a big P on the building

  • I like how they remade the end haha.

  • love how its been redone for the single, still works great :)

  • awesome, but 0:59 looks kinda funny

  • Fuck, if the new EP gonna be as awesome as this it, I'd have to buy more lubricant for wacking off...

  • i prefer the album version, still love periphery!

  • If the guy at 3.22 would fall and make a faceplant, this video would be absolutly perfect, still awesome as fuck though

  • Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!

  • To be totally honest, I hate the bridge vocals. Where did this come from? Hopefully , this is only video-worthy.

  • Great Job!

  • Periphery is best at what they do

    Spencer=Vocal Genius

  • Bulb= Djesus of Djent.

  • @stixpicksnchicks - Passion of the Djent, anyone? (no mockery to PotC)

  • never paid much attention to this song's lyrical content but it shows you just how big of a sci fi nerd casey sabol is

  • @n00bsaints Casey Sabol? You mean Spencer right? Seeing as how he wrote the lyrics and vocals to this song haha

  • @Periphery i thought i heard it on soundclick like 3 yrs ago. confused with inertia? 2 ledjent 2 quit

  • @n00bsaints yeah you definitely confused it, although the two songs sound nothing alike

  • @Periphery srsly.

  • that chick looks A LOT like Summer Glau...

  • Comment removed

  • and what if this illusion i've come to know is not the same?

  • Were some of the Spencer parts recorded with playback at double-speed then slowed down to fit the normal speed song? Some of the footage looks like its slow-mo.

  • @SimplyMarcusP Yessir!

  • @Periphery ah awesome, the whole video is a huge bunch of sexy, and this redone version of the song is simply beautiful.
