Andrew bird is a fucking musical genius... if his "cult following" ever breaks through to the mainstream, good luck trying to get tickets for his show . He's too good for the pop music scene, an thats a fact of life... The thing that kills me is that I discovered him on accident when I was street teaming for his old record label righteous babe. That free copy of TMPE has become one of my favorite records ever. Thankyou RBR, Ani, and Scott
I think I like Andrew Bird's Interviews more than his music. Although I haven't been listening for very long. I would like to read a book of his if he wrote one.
Awesome fact: he rode his bike to this location for the interview. Know how I got that? His right pant leg is flipped up at the ankle! Green transportation FTW!!!!
"The Happy Birthday principle"... Brilliant. Wish more performers would adhere to this - although then they would be as special as Andrew Bird which can never be possible...

I talked to him after a show once. He's really shy, and I didn't think he would be because he seems so confident on stage. He's sweet, though.
