  • why does the box for something completly different

  • ooop i put a hole in it XDDDD

  • that looks gross, aha ^^ .. well.. thats my opinion anyways x lol , looks awesome though x

  • i think i'll just make one layer.. looks yummy!

  • Okay.. I dunno I thought all the preparatory stuff for this pastry was sexy actually and then once you started putting it together I thought.. hey that's nice.. now at the end I am wondering?? How are you supposed to eat it. Is is for one serving, two people, do you cut into it.. do you eat it in layers? I am so confused. It's looks pretty and delectable .. but how do you eat it? (smile) for real and what did you find to be the most doable amount of layering? Beautiful! Thanks

  • haha i totally hear you! Yes, it's pretty to look at, but impossible to eat without making a mess! I just ate it with my fingers, one layer at a time ;) Then of course use a fork/spoon to scoop up any sloppy globs. I would say 1-2 layers max for easy munchability! =)

  • Just wanted u to know i made this recipe today and my bf loved it!! :D

are u trying tofurkey this thanksgiving?

  • Mmmm look sooo yummy! *drool*

I'm going to have to find a vegan recipe for puff pastry dough ...

I have access to soy cream/sour/whipping creams, so, the filling is vegan-able.

Thanks for sharing the recipe and techniques

  • Have you ever made baking powder biscuits? Those are fabulous smothered with juicy strawberries & whipped topping.

    Simple recipe:

    2 cups all-purpose flour

    2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

    3/4 teaspoon salt

    5 tablespoons shortening

    3/4 cup milk DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the shortening and mix until in little pieces. Add milk a little at a time and mix until it forms a ball.

  • Roll out on floured board to 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick. Cut out in desired size and dip in melted shortening. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450F (230C) for 12 to 15 minutes.

Variation: For shortcakes add 2 tablespoons for sugar to the dough and roll dough out to 1/2 inch thick.

Just sub in your vegan ingredients & you should be good to go! I'm sure you know the proper EU conversions, if you need them =)

  • With a fork and a knife, and if it is too much only eat a portion of it.

"heavy cream", is a thick cream used for whipping to make "homemade" whipped cream (instead of spraying it out of a can!)

The cream is found in the milk dept of the store.

  • Can you give the sizes of the cans., jars, etc when you use something? Like the oz on the sour cream, etc.

Thanks for thinking about it :) !

  • Ohh I was hoping you'd see the size when i showed the package LOL I usually don't measure anything when i cook - just add to taste! ;)

The cream cheese & sour cream were 8oz each. But you can use more or less of each depending on what you like. Honey/sweetener to your personal taste. I used like 3-4 TBPS honey.

About 1 cup heavy cream & 1 TBSP powdered sugar.

I think the pastry puffs was a 17oz package. There were two large sheets in there. Which cut down to 18 squares.

    1 pint strawberries

  • omg that looks so good to bad i cant eat that

  • oh how delish!!! thanks Aprillie :)

  • That looks totally AWESOME and so scrumptious, i wish a bitch like me had a man to cook for, oh well maybe on day destiny will decide to quit denying me that pleasure, one day. SIGH!!!!

  • Girl it is much easier to use a hand mixer, i simply hate mixing stuff by hand.

  • looks yummy! i'm sure your boyfriend really enjoys your cooking!

  • mmmmm that looks delish!

  • Oh my...Looks delicious!! ♥

  • I have never seen raw honey before! It kind of looks like glue lol.

    Mmmmm, it looks delicious (:

Even just the one puff pastry and the cream mixture.

Oh yeah, I like your plates too!

    MORE COOKING VIDEOS!

  • This looks so delicious! And i couldnt even tell it was a voiceover!

  • OMG I am so totally wanthing to have some :o) your so cute when you taste the sugar level smacking your lips lol I really enjoyed this tutorial I didnt know your a secret betty crocker Muah love it oxox Melinda

  • That looks delicious!

I simply must try this out soon. :]

    Thanks for the recipe!

  • Wow you've done it again!! super tasty and very inviting...Now my kids want me to make them your lasagna and your napoleans! thx , this will be tomorrows menu..

  • Ohh awesome =) These were all so easy to make! You can use vanilla pudding for the Napoleons too if you like. There are so many different ways to make them! I guess it all comes down to what you like paired with strawberries! Pastry cream, puddings, whipped cream alone, etc.

  • Well, you can always substitute low-fat or fat-free cream cheese & sour cream, etc. I've seen recipes using vanilla pudding instead - so that might be a diet friendly option FF/sugar free pudding. And you can substitute whatever sugar-substitutes you might usually use also! It will taste different of course, but you can definitely make a more diet-friendly version! =)

And don't eat 3 puff pastries ;) Just do one covered with berries!! ;) LOL

  • Oh my..I wish I was invited for dinner. This looks delicious..thanks

  • yummy yummy yummy!!!

  • i love your new food videos

  • the ice cream truck music in the background added a nice touch at the end!

  • I love the random ice cream truck to. HAHA

  • I didn't know it was a voice over tell i read teh side bar.

  • nice

  • looks so yummy... and lol... The Mr. Softee ice cream truck passing by...lol

  • haha that damn ice cream truck drives me nuts! It goes by like 2-3 times a day & sits in front of my house for like 20 minutes. I'd like to shoot out it's tires... then again that would only make it stuck in front of my house even longer! >:o

  • What you can try to do nxt time is slice the puff pastry squares along where they are puffed so that you have two squares that are kind of cup shaped since they were puffed. Then you can put the cheese into the little bowl of the cup, the strawberries on that, then a weensy amount of cheese on top so that when you put the other half of the pastry on top, it doesn't smoosh everywhere.

  • Good idea! This was my first time & I had no idea how to go about assembling it nicely ;) haha they were fun to eat though! I had filling all over my face ;)

  • YUM! LOL at how big it was...I think I'd prolly just make it with one layer of each thing, but it looks so beautiful with the several layers!

  • Yeah multiple layers was a MESS! I had to eat it with my fingers layer by layer ;) Looked pretty though!

I think one layer high would be perfect for all practical purposes ;)

  • That looks really good, I'll have to try that.

  • Impossible to do! LOL I ended up eating it with my fingers, one layer at a time! ;) Probably easier to just make them one puff pastry high, piled with goo & berries. ;p

  • LOL Yeah that stupid ice cream truck comes by at 830pm EVERY night & sits directly in front of my house for like 20 minutes! Makes me insane! hahaha

These were yummy! Super messy, but yummy! Next time I think I'll just do one puff pastry followed by goo & berries ;p

  • Yum, I cant wait to try this with my raspberries when they are ripe. Thanks

  • Mmmm I LOVE STRAWBERRYS!!!~

there one of my fave fruits other then

    bananas and apples.Theres a store

called M&Ms here, and they have a TOO TALL strawberry shortcake, its the BEST!

Im sure it tastes similer to this recipe:D

  • haha when you opened the sour cream i was so confused. i forgot there was a plastic seal on it so when you opened it it was really bright colors and i was like wtf is that?!

  • this looks so yummy! great job!

  • Haha i loved the end were you just kinda pile it on top of it.there massive, ive never had one before.

  • yummmmmmmmmmmm

  • i wish i had that right now

  • purdy!

  • i want some this looks good

  • That looks so delicious. I'll have to try to make that when I have the time. =D

  • Omg YUM. I like that you're doing these cooking videos. Everything looks so good.

Actually I have kind of a request. My best friend Heather and my Little brothers hates veggies i wonder if you have any way to "sneak" veggies into your food?

  • she has these drinks that she did videos on a few months back. i think they were part of her raw diet. but i did the watermelon one and my family couldn't believe there was vegetables in it. you should give it a go!

  • Thank you! I must have forgotten about those smoothie vids. *head desk*

  • If you're making pasta you can dice veggies up & add them to the sauce. Spinach goes great in lasagna!! And diced veggies are great in cheese sauces too! Maybe they would like them with melted cheese on top? If you do meatloaf, you can dice up veggies really fine (or food process them till SUPER fine) and mix them into everything. How about vegetable soups or thick stews with veggies?

Sometimes its easier to get veggies down when they are part of something else than just alone as a side dish.

  • this looks ooh sooo yummy!!! i want one =D

  • Very yummy! ;)

  • soooo yummy, omg I need to make that!!

  • They are yummy! ;)

  • looks yum!

  • Indeed! ;)

  • that looks soooo yummy!!!!!!

  • It was yummy! Super messy though! haha
