wow! treasure! i was looking back at SAVED BY THE BELL clips & to discover that there was Zack Morris before Bayside High School. Loads of catching up to do
Well, this isn't exactly Saved By The Bell. This was what show originally was, a slightly different sitcom called Good Morning, Miss Bliss that was supposed to air on NBC in primetime, but ended up on The Disney Channel. However, when Disney ended it after only 13 episodes, the creators at NBC decided to retool the concept into a new series with a different setting, older and some new characters & out came Saved By The Bell.
What happened was Saved By The Bell became so popular so quickly that they wanted it on syndication right away, but because there weren't a lot of episodes to syndicate it. Back then, you had to have at least 65, the syndicator Rysher decided to pad the show with Miss Bliss episodes repackaged as "flashback" episodes because of the vague similarities between the two series and the characters, even though there are many continuity differences between the two series.
As usual, Zack gets attack by his conscience.
