Shutter problem. one of conectors is broken.

solution: Replace shutter.

Err 99 to znaczy Inny błąd niż opisane w isntrukcju pod numerami 01,02,03,04,05.

Mi się raz wyświetlił ale nie strzelał lustrem, tylko przestał reagować. Ale pomogło wyjęcie wszystkiego i włożeniu od nowa.

Can be maybe the shutter, you have to replace it, can be also the conecction with the lensese (maybe dirty, you hae to clean it) and the mirror part (i don´t know exactly how is called)

I have the exact same problem rapid firing shutter (won't stop) and err 99. Did you get fix it? What was the issue?

I never sent it for fix. Bought a new camera instead.

err 99 just happened to my 20D tonight too

mine isnt the same problem i dont think. i have no clue what is wrong with it. i was just taking pictures and all of a sudden it wont take the picture. it will focus when you hold the shutter halfway down but when you fully press it nothing happens. then it reads err 99 on top lcd

I have a 20D that is doing the same thing. It's caused by a bad connection in the shutter button. Sometimes they get stuck in the on position and sometimes they only work when you push hard and wiggle it a bit. Clean the contacts and it's fixed.

thanks for the advice.. I tried your shutter method but still no luck. Read that err99 is a general error.. so anything can cause this problem.
