I remember when this came out. I think it was before they took on the Navy contract that was a disaster. And years before HP bought them out, cut everyone's pay, and then laid them off. I saw entire departments let go. I remember getting a new manager for the district, having an introduction meeting with him on Friday and Monday finding out that he was laid-off. A dozen or more years of experience per employee, and thousands of employees let go.

I worked at HP when they bought EDS and I heard nothing but complaints about the merger from former EDS employees. HP CEO Mark Hurd is a piece of lying shit and HP is a pathetic husk compared to its glory days when Hewlett and Packard were still running things. HP cut salaries across the board by 5% in order to avoid layoffs. They had the layoffs anyway, but just kept them hush-hush. And they even suddenly fired some people arbitrarily on trumped-up charges. Fuck HP and its executives.

Agreed, I work for the orginisation in question. I've had my entire team made redundant and bestshored. I am not sure what will happen to me, but certainly there is a lack of undertanding.
