  • the killer in me is the killer in you, my love

  • hey awesome song!!!

  • Brillant song!!!

  • D'Arcy is beautiful

  • I can never tell who plays the cello. Anyone know?

  • I knew this was from the MuchMusic Spotlight in the first few seconds I had watched my taped copy I don't know how many times. God I miss when people cared about music.

  • Billy has fangs. Great song.

  • im 16 i listen to all types of music apart from that rap crap, but my favorite type of music is in the same catergory as this :)

  • @rsman211 not all rap is crap you know. Go and listen to some underground stuff, which is about similar things as this. About reflection and people and feelings and memories.

  • ich heule...

  • i listen to all kinds of music but i have to save this song is an automatic classic

  • This song makes me so sad and reflective, but I love it<3

  • I miss the 90's. Sigh.

  • "The killer in me is a killer in you" Epic.

  • NO QUIERO QUEDARME SOLO

  • Hip Hop, in my opinion, is not music but rather poetry to a rudimentry beat. Sorry.

  • Smashing Pumpkins always makes me drift away to a world of no pain... I love there music...

  • Don't worry. (C)rapmusic will die. This is timeless

  • @cermisan Rap died after like 2001. Hip Hop is timeless. 90's was the best era for Hip Hop, and many genre's. Pop Rap is what we got now, just typing it makes my keyboard wanna throw up it's keys.

  • Wow, now that i actually know the meaning of this song it's really really sad.

  • DUDE every music is real stop crying about the "90's music was so great" .. time pass, things change, music changes too

  • @Alphoter ok, listen: MOST OF THE "MUSIC" WE HAVE NOW IS JUST A BUNCH OF VOICE EDITING AND MACHINES MAKING NOISES. THAT'S WHY EVERYONE IS UPSET. MUSIC IS LOVE, AND IF YOU DON'T FEEL LOVE AFTER HEARING A SONG, IT'S NOT REAL MUSIC. And if u still are stubborn enough to disagree with me, just go back to your ke$ha and justin beaver. I LOVE YOU!!!! <3

  • I'm so glad I don't like my generation's music. Something that comes from the heart is very refreshing when all you hear these days is sex and party.

  • @KaluaRcVids

sex and party is great too

  • @KaluaRcVids

sex and party is great too

and btw, theres still people making music with heart...mtv is not everything...

  • Keen observation willmcloone1. That said, this music is absolute genius.

    Think about it.

  • Great song.

  • Highlight of music Video Integritiy. Wish all new music videos were like this!!!

  • trevor says no mother fucker.

  • no mother fuckier.

  • You miss music like this?

    Then MAKE IT.

It can ALL be done on ye ole PC.

  • me the same people

  • It is really sad to hear todays music. It is just so....HORRIBLE! God I hate mainstream music!! First, the songs are completely stupid and pointless. Second. Well it just plain sucks ass.

  • Miss SP so much.......

  • I miss music like this....

  • D'Arcy has (had) some niiiiiice legs...damn

  • @bigtymer68 Indeed i would love to Disarm them ;)

  • Ah, good ol' Much Music Spotlight - when they still had artists that mattered to shine that light on.

  • @TampaRed Damn....the good ol' days...sigh...

  • @doubleitp yeah i feel the same way.... actual music... thoughtful and beautiful and deep expression

  • i totally agree, the music now sucks, this is what music is and will always be to me anyways.......

  • Agreed! Little weepy think about the days of thoughtful music, that made you actually feel something when you heard it.

  • Fantastic

  • I think this man fathered dunst....The whole hideous face, grill included...Resembles each others. Bad day for both of them upon realizing this, surely.

  • I wish I could go back to the early 90's.Good friends,awesome music,good acid,and Lollapalooza.........

  • DUDE we Should team up an build a time machine.....it be soooo awesome.. going back in time seeing the FIRST LOLLAPALOOZAA...Seriously.. get back to me and lets make things thing Happen!!!!

  • @tkirtsey someone smoked a little to much sticky today. Wait who am i kidding? there is no such thing as smoking to much bud! So smoke on friend.

  • no way man my mind is still fried from that acid i totally could not cope with that nowdays i quake at the thoght of another microdot

  • jaimen it's spelled kiersen dunst, and they don't have the same exact set, they just kind of look alike..billy's are SO much more beautiful.

  • this song is so awesome i swear its just so awesome

  • billy c. and kierstin duncted(if that is how its spelled?)have the same grill.

  • hahahahaha. funny as hell

  • the little kid @2:04 throughs a great superman punch.K.O.

  • well said guys new music is dead,,go back and enjoy

  • I agree. I am 14 and all I listen to is SP, Nirvana, Radiohead, ect., and i've tried to get my friends to listen in but they're all caught up in rap, which has no meaning at all. It just talks about killing people and doing it.

  • @Mikey2652 i like the rap a few years ago. the music changes every decade is almost over.

smashing pumpkins kick ass! i want to see them live but ill never see all the originals

  • Aw man, that must suck. My friends listen to some of the music I listen to, luckily for me. Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear about that man...

  • DISARM YOU WITH A SMILE.

    Pumpkins are really good.

    EVEN BETTER THAN NIRVANA!!

  • I couldn't agree more.

  • I wouldn't say better than Nirvana

but nothing against Smashing Pumpkins there amazing

  • i agree with the person under me(:

  • i looooovvvveee this song but honestly the new pumpkins rnt as great as the originals, if i could make one wish n the world id wish for them all to get back together :[

there music is just so amazing

  • Smashing Pumpkins rulez!!!!

  • 0:38 delicious.

  • mikey....check out bush...glycerine..(also dreamy and flying)...and i am a female..i am not a gay guy!!! lol

  • i love this song....sounds like a dream....i feel like flying...i know i sound gay but just the sound of it feels like you should be flying or something

  • lol. thatz kinda wat i thought

  • great music, but corgans disappointed me... very much so with how hes keeping the name sp when hes the only origonal member

  • James Chamberlain is also an original member, unless you count the drum machine that they used before finding him as the original member. Just saying though. Great song.

  • actually most of the albums billy did alot of the work on in the studio, the other members even admitted that corgan was/is the driving force behind the band for the most part, not saying any of the other members are bad or anything, Iha was great in APC

  • totally one of my fav videos and songs. they're so awesom :D

  • awesome song. awesome video too

  • anyone notice the chemtrail in the sky on the last scene 3:04

  • Wow good eye! Goes to show they began in 1996/97 just like researchers say. I never noticed them until 2005 when our skies were completely covered with them here in L.A.

  • it says this song was released in 1993

  • This is going to sound corny.

But this song almost brings a tear to ones eye.

    Anyone else agree?

  • definitely

  • I definitely agree! This song and Thirty Three!!! "the killer in meeee is the killer in uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, send this smile over to uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!"

  • Couldn't agree more. I'm trying to hold back tears now.

  • Lol True that

    This is a powerful song

  • @RandumbnessStudios I do completely.

  • @RandumbnessStudios Agree. It also brings back good memories. And bad ones. I really like this song.

  • @RandumbnessStudios no shame in showing emotions for that when you know the song has touched your very soul.....

  • '95. Before my time, but honestly? Nothing compares (:

  • The #1 song for any person to retrieve the innocence of themselves.

(THC helps cure this in opposition)

  • God its fucking amazing,,.... I just jizzed myself, this needs to be in a movie.

  • I just watched "The Wacness" with Josh Peck and this song came on thats why i listened to it it i thought that it was a perfect movie song .

  • '88 holler, this song is amazing

  • This song was played at my friends funeral RIP Brennie, this song is beauitful.

  • this is for all my nigggas that were born in 90' , stay pimpin

  • Comment removed

  • i pretty sure its about corgans childhood

  • born in '90, recently discovered them....

    can't get enough!

  • I can't believe '94 kids know them!!!

  • im from 92 but i grew up with them lol

  • '94 bebeh!

Great years for music from 1989 to about 2001...kinda went downhill since then but ther3es still good music out there:D

  • Talk about killer lyrics:

    "The killer in me,

    is the killer in you."

  • For the record, courtney love wrote that line originally..not to burn the pumpkins-love them-but i give credit where credit is due..

  • Courtney Love wrote that???

on the other hand it does kinda sound like her way of thinking...just learnt something new. Thanks.

  • You have it backwards. It was Billy Corgan who wrote basically all of Hole's Malibu record after Kurt died. Kurt had written much of the prior lp, Pretty on the Inside. Look it up if you don't believe me. THe reason I know is because I worked at a club in L.A. on 3rd and La Brea where COurtney used to work at a store next door before Hole got big and she married Kurt.

  • dont you mean courtney love stole it from one of kurt cobain's secret journals after she killed him

  • come on man give it up your just trying to prove a negitive at this point

  • reading this comments about all you guys being born in '94 makes me feel old! i remember when this album came out! Went to the siamese dream tour. This album made me want to pick up the guitar and learn how to play. Which I did. Too bad the pumpkins dont make music like this anymore.

  • I know! I was born in '95 and all the people my age listen to is this disney bulcrap, and nothing as good as this will ever be around again! I am happy though to be a part of the small part of non-commercialized music that is still around.

  • im the same age dude, and i totally agree. real music like this is dead in the mainstream, and less and less people are playing it. i would have to say 90 percent of all music written in the last 4 years is complete bull shit.

  • So glad young people still listen to great music. There's hope yet!

  • @trippinbill thier will always be a hope man u think this pop crap is new check the 80's its just stuff from the 80's but made worser sinserly a 15 year old guy

  • @punkre435 isn't the pumpkins still making music? i heard their song on the watchman preview but last i heard of billy he was in swan so i could be wrong. if they made a new album whats it called

  • @punkre435 between the buried and me, the entire album colors, very far from bull shit.

  • @punkre435 Well said iam with you

  • @punkre435

You know whats funny about this whole statement. They said the same exact thing 4 years ago.

  • @punkre435

You know what is funny about this statement? They said the same exact thing 4 years go. Think about it.

  • @punkre435 but our parents said the SAME SHIT about bands like the pumpkins... am I the only one who sees this cycle? :P

  • @monkeylunchbreak Its so different though. Its not based off of what style they play, which is wat the past generations were complaining about. Its about the music industry making artist that have no real content in their music, no emotion except to party, actually presentable. All these terrible artist are spoon fed to the population and even though some people reject it the majority of people just take in the load of crap thats being shoveled in their mouths.

  • @ejf721 I guess you didn't listen to your parents then... cause that's EXACTLY what the older generation says about 90's music. And you're complaint IS a complaint about "style." When you listen to "modern" "mainstream" music you don't feel any emotional connection to it, and so therefore you claim it has none. It DOES. It just doesn't appeal to you. That just makes you old. ;) Now I agree that the Smashing Pumpkins are AMAZING, but let's not forget that THEY were mainstream too. ;)

  • @monkeylunchbreak Well my parents were not like that. I think there are some good new bands such as MGMT, Hoobastank, and Linkin Park. Are you trying to say that miley cyrus and Justin Beiber are too fresh and new for me and thats the reason why I don't think they are "artist" and I can't relate to her music. Now the Smashing Pumpkins are mainstream grunge/alternative music, but absolutely no body spoon fed me their music. I didn't even get a chance to listen to them until after they broke up.

  • @ejf721 To be honest 90s nostalgics do seem to have very selective memories. The 1990s invented Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, boybands and autotuner. Maybe things were different where you were, but our charts were in no way dominated by anything remotely 'real'. The grunge/alternative stuff was just that - ALTERNATIVE. There is plenty of good new music anyway. Are the things you've listed REALLY all you've been exposed to? That does suggest a lack of trying...

  • @iipsilon Dude get your facts straight the 2000 are not the same as the 90's. Of course there was crap in the 90's, at least the mainstream music wasn't mostly crap like it is now. I'm not saying that the 90's was the golden age of music or anything. I'm just comparing the decades. Please if you feel that I'm missing out on tons of awesome new bands please suggest a few, that I can check. The list of bands i gave was just a few examples btw.

  • @ejf721 well im very sry that u were not able to enjoy these albums as they came out. for that u have my sympathy. but hoobastank and linkin park are absolute crap rock. sry to break it to u but if i dont someone else will. upgrade to tool a perfect circle muse radiohead and of course smashing pumpkins.

  • @melliott1313 Dude you have to learn how to understand that difference between quality music and your own personal taste. I have heard a lot of Tool, Perfect Circle, Muse, and Radiohead. I do like a lot of their songs, but just because I like these bands doesn't mean I'm not going to be open to other styles of music, simply because its not created by super depressed/angry people. i listen to all kinds of music as long as its quality music. All the way from P-funk, No Doubt, Daft Punk, SOAD, etc

  • @punkre435

The last thing you said is simply not true. There is another music industry beside the mainstream. Hundrets of thousands of unknown artists write masterpieces every day. We simply never get to know them because there is no place for deep music on top of the charts. But I don't listen to mainstream bullshit anyway so I think I'm fine. Disarm is great and too damn short. Peace.

  • @punkre435 really? 90%? I wouldn't agree with that. 90% of music that gets airtime on mainstream radio stations - yes, but not ALL music. There are some amazing artists NOW that are getting over-looked because people think that music these days is shit and not worth even looking for or listening to. I don't listen to Smashing Pumpkins because it's from the 90's...

  • @punkre435 I don't listen to rhianna because I like R&B and I don't listen to Two Door Cinema Club because it's indie. I listen to music because I like it. I don't care what genre or era music is from if I like it I'll listen to it. I think thats lost on a lot of people today because they think they're 'too cool' to listen to Justin Bieber or whatever, but attitudes like that close you off from some amazing music and really just encourages pigeon-holing people into categories like 'emo' and that

  • lmfao man, i was born in 1990 if there is one thing ive learned about music its that the style all come back, like alot of rap beats come right out of 80s tracks lol

  • I love tis song... I ws 14 when itcame out

  • Descendant of Corganism at Amazon

  • oh shit i found this song today. Pretty fucking glad i did.

  • Damn that's great... The Smashing Pumpkins have no real parallel... Btw, I was born in '94 and I love this song and I know a lot of people at my school that like it. So maybe there's not as many dumb teenagers out there as you thought! Haha

  • i was born in '95 and i love this song!

    top that!

  • me to

  • born in 94 Right here :D

  • '94 is one sweet year! Haha XD I only know like 8 other people in my school that know the Pumpkins. So sad :(

  • Thats sucks. I hate people in my school.

  • dude i only know a few and the ones that do know SP only know today and thats pretty much it XD

  • im a '95 baby too!

  • born in 92 and only 1 person or two more like them in my school. they prefer bitch montana and popy shit stuff

  • amazn

  • ah memories...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song very touching

  • This song manages to encompass every feeling I've ever had that couldn't be explained. Genius.

  • still one of the best bands ever and i wasn't evan born when this song was made

  • thanks for being so smart!

  • More like thanks for not being a dumbass. Music today is nothing compared to the music of the 90's or the 70's. Jw, when was this song actually released on an album?

  • Siamese Dream c. 1993

  • I like some of the music that comes out today but i am into the older stuff, a lot of the stuff that comes out today is horrible but there is some ok stuff

  • Mio dio, è bellissima , quanti ricordi !

    Grazie !

  • it awsome

  • Until I listened to Pumpkin's other songs, this was the best song of them I'd heard... Wouldn't have room for it if written for Mellon Collie.

  • I love how this band is different!

  • Okay it's about his parents! It's still paternal none the less.Get over it "politically correct".

  • this was my brothers slideshow song for his graduation from high school....gaw, i was so sad.

  • thats just stupid

  • I believe this song was about an aborted fetus!

  • it was about his parents

  • h3y thanx for uLoading/posting,, yeah one of my all time favorite pieces of music, whew =][=

  • I use to like this song!

  • "leave you here, like they left me here to wither in denial." What did he mean by that?

  • He means he will leave the boy he is talking about in the song just like how he was left by his parents when he was a boy.

  • billy's a fuckin genius!

  • ...send this smile over to you.

  • yeah you nailed that

  • You are wrong!!!...

  • i can clearly see that you dont understand anything about music

  • increible....increible...man

  • gooba; chrecket de szanto, alse tre nenno brobus. methinks.

  • oooh gives me chills!

  • In my humble opinion, this song is up there with 'Mayonaise' as one of the Pumpkins' best. Inspired song writing from Billy Corgan.
