What people don't know is that it is up to the country where the attack occured to decide if they want to press charges or not against the pirates. literally 90% of the time it is too much bother to charge the men and prove their actions of piracy so they are never charged, and therefore are taken to the closest port to sent on their way.

300 boxes of 40 mm morter-granates and i don't know how many missiles.About 200,i'll guess.

I look at it from my point of view. I couldn't make a living where i lived ether. I didnt go out hijacking supply trucks, guess what I did.... I moved. They have an option just as I did. But why would someone want to do anything else when they can make enough money off one ship to retire 2 times over and not half to worry about consequences. Its to big an area to police by boat. I say there needs to be at lest 2 30 or 50 cals on every cargo ship and let them at lest defend there self.

I don't believe that pirates of any era were either swashbuckling or attempting to get rich. They were criminals with antisocial behavior-- misfits of society. Being poor does not give one the right to commit criminal acts. And, let's not forget that many of these criminals (on sea and land) are actually stealing the very shipments of aid intended for their own people!
