Holy hell this song brings me back to the overlooked/completely badass music generation of the 90's. I've been on a 90's music bender for the last 2 hours and I feel fucking phenomenal.
@cfezuwm take two doses of Stabbing Westward, a gram of LIve, and tablespoon of Soundgarden and then get drunk on Our Lady Peace's first album....and then you will feel like this ALL OF THE TIME. but remember one thing - don't look directly into Lady Gaga's eyes, or its all over.
My cousin was one of the extras on this clip. He said that after the last day of shooting, the band actually had it off with some of the girls in this clip!! Damn, I would be so jealous.
Oooo, somehow, I got hold of a remixed version of this song... and it doesn't sound nearly as good as this, the original version. The volume drops in some places, etc. Took awhile to get back here, but this original version is the best.
This video is finally making sense. The fat = indulgence, and they're such cold "lovers". At the end, some are by themselves really, REALLY having real passion, not to show off, not in a competition and fake impressions, but because its real love and passion. The others are only in it for show.. and cold.. loveless sexual indulgence. Lard = Indulgence.
@JoshLucas5 It is about what you want it to be about. Human Excess, Self indulgencance, desire, disgust. pleasure, feeling/knowing its wrong while doing it anyway. Its all there. What do you think its about?
@Minacious White/Discussion from Throwing Copper. Cool song. I believe it's "This will be what we said" (followed not by "what we will have said", but an instrumental jam) - "Look where all this talking got us, baby"
When I first saw this vid, app 15 years ago, as a teenager, I thought it was kind of creepy...some kind of sex ritual it seemed. Now I recognise so much symbolism. The sound can have an ominous 'get under your skin' effect too. These kinds are the coolest songs....so much more going on than making noise.
drank the blood and ate the flesh, the only thing that is weird in this song, is the part where he says he took water from the toilet to cleanse and bless the girl. I wonder what the DIRTY WATER reference is, like a baptisim, but in filth, i dont understand
What is so strange about this is that I know it to be true. But I'm not condoning anyone to try acid but if it falls in your mouth I'm not looking. :P

I'm not really sure,kaysee33,but I get the impression from the line"peace...what a dirty habit."at the scene of making love that it's a testament to the fact that we(espacially western civilization)regard sex as dirty and vilolence an accepted form of entertainment and coarse of action.
What do you mean "especially western civilization"? It's the same damn thing worldwide. People are driven by greed and lust. The line "More peace...such a dirty habbit" is because everyone's idea of peace is maintaining an enviorment where we can better screw each other over with out guilty fealings.
People simply preach peace out of the lust in their hearts. It's a peace with out justice.
