  • Great memory in this track

  • Holy hell this song brings me back to the overlooked/completely badass music generation of the 90's. I've been on a 90's music bender for the last 2 hours and I feel fucking phenomenal.

  • @cfezuwm take two doses of Stabbing Westward, a gram of LIve, and tablespoon of Soundgarden and then get drunk on Our Lady Peace's first album....and then you will feel like this ALL OF THE TIME. but remember one thing - don't look directly into Lady Gaga's eyes, or its all over.

  • I used to watch this video on MTV back in the 90s. Wow. That was before youtube. I'm old now.

  • @mastermalone yeah back when that abortion of a tv station was awesome.

  • @cfezuwm Tell me about it. What the hell is this Jersey Shore Bullshit anyway?

  • My cousin was one of the extras on this clip. He said that after the last day of shooting, the band actually had it off with some of the girls in this clip!! Damn, I would be so jealous.

  • badass

  • Fucking epic track. And the video is like a weird dream.....

  • i remember this far back in my teens.

  • Chad Gracey is still as sexy and talented as ever!

  • Oooo, somehow, I got hold of a remixed version of this song... and it doesn't sound nearly as good as this, the original version. The volume drops in some places, etc. Took awhile to get back here, but this original version is the best.

  • Videos kinda look the same

    youtube.com/watch?v=_rDGHajIuaE

  • love it!

  • This video is finally making sense. The fat = indulgence, and they're such cold "lovers". At the end, some are by themselves really, REALLY having real passion, not to show off, not in a competition and fake impressions, but because its real love and passion. The others are only in it for show.. and cold.. loveless sexual indulgence. Lard = Indulgence.

  • what a good band !!!

    i miss grunge 90's

  • Truly, only thing honestly, no emo intended.

All I get from this song and video is anger.

Just so many things to wonder.

  • Is Secret Samahdi a concept album?

  • @johnmckenna80 Yes, it was a concept album.

  • killer

  • Beautiful song!!

  • ed is so sexy in this video!!!!!!!!!

  • the devil theory are pretty cool they played this as a cover at there show in canada.

  • best song ever.

  • Love it!!! A hit single in Brazil!!! =]

  • epic

  • so awesome

  • What is this song about?

  • @JoshLucas5 It is about what you want it to be about. Human Excess, Self indulgencance, desire, disgust. pleasure, feeling/knowing its wrong while doing it anyway. Its all there. What do you think its about?

  • this song is so kick-ass! The video is dark and creepy, fitting for the song.

  • This band is so damn hard to google for information because their name brings up a million other bands...

What's the name of their song where the chorus is like, "This is what we said."

I only heard the song once but I'm pretty sure it was them.

  • White Discussion? "This'll be what we say"?

  • Yes! Thank you! Finally!

  • @Minacious White/Discussion from Throwing Copper. Cool song. I believe it's "This will be what we said" (followed not by "what we will have said", but an instrumental jam) - "Look where all this talking got us, baby"

  • ♫♫ it was an evening i shared with the sun

to find out where we belong

    from the earliest days

we were dancing in the shadows

    .

    more wine

cuz i got to have it

    more skin

cuz i got to eat it ♪♪

This song back me in time...to the lost decade: the 90's

  • ortis need a ride, too, i guess..lol

  • i believe this is about a dude in love with a kind of slutty chick,,,who screws everyone but him,,,,he wants to ride....

  • When I first saw this vid, app 15 years ago, as a teenager, I thought it was kind of creepy...some kind of sex ritual it seemed. Now I recognise so much symbolism. The sound can have an ominous 'get under your skin' effect too. These kinds are the coolest songs....so much more going on than making noise.

  • more wine!! cuz i got to have it

more skin! cuz i got to eat it....

    holy communion

drank the blood and ate the flesh, the only thing that is weird in this song, is the part where he says he took water from the toilet to cleanse and bless the girl. I wonder what the DIRTY WATER reference is, like a baptisim, but in filth, i dont understand

  • One of the best snare drums ever put to tape...

  • good catch i agree

  • After all these years this song still kicks ass!!!

  • @mr00gieboogie oh this song was great on acid! The build ups the crescendo!

  • What is so strange about this is that I know it to be true. But I'm not condoning anyone to try acid but if it falls in your mouth I'm not looking. :P

  • Tool sort of has the same effect

  • thanks for posting! this rocks.

  • beautiful song <3

  • I had forgotten about this song..wow. Loved it back in the day and still sounds great now. Thanks for posting!

  • Are those some nice tube-driven amps I viddy?

  • great song, great video, great album! love love love love love Live X

  • a great song. sirius' lithium still plays this song

  • One hell of a song, this band has a lot of talent, ED knows how to write a great song that sticks with you over years, love em....

  • Too bad Beavis and Butthead weren't still around to see that one! :)

Heh heh heh hey Beavis did you see all those toys heh heh heh.

  • great song!

  • One thing I will say about +LIVE+, they were oozing originality back in the day. There is no other song like this...

  • its a dirty habit. Fantastic!!! vocals and hard intro makes this song fkucn gr8 to listen to.

  • is it bad i remember this from grade nine which was like probably 13 years ago?

  • nope, this music still sounds good, it was my senior yr of hs i think. just now rediscovering it, after a long drout of unoriginallity, if thats even a word

  • this song is almost too badass for its own good

  • you're almost too badass for your own good!

  • im almost to badass for my own good

  • Im almost to good for your own badass.

  • I'm almost too badass for your own good.

  • this song is almost too badass for all our own good

  • @wombgrinder hah thats awesome.

  • they sound like hurt

  • i like this song

  • Fuckin love this song. def my fave

  • Mna, I remember this video about 11 years ago when I was younger. I used to get a hard on from some of the girls in this video wearing their underwear!!! I still love this song from Live, right along with "I Alone". Classic Rock Song!!!

  • This song is 11 years old!?

  • 1997

  • holy shit

  • Brilliant!....

  • You can't imagine how incredible 3:27-4:36 sounds in person, unless of course you've seen them live.

  • one of the best songs of this band!

bring me memories of my teenager time

  • This song is ridiculous when you hear it live.

  • dammnit i love this song!!!

  • this band had aremix possibly on the batman soundtrack...it had this phrase in it but was not his voice" I warned you, I prepared you I told you what to expect" Does any Live fan know what song this is?

  • That would be "White, Discussion" song from the Throwing Copper CD.

  • The video has to do with a Freudian dream about sex and lard.

  • What does the video supposed to be about and whats with the blocks of white stuff? Is it molded jizz?

  • the groove of this song is amazing

  • I love the song but dont get the video. can someone that does give a pithy explanation, please

  • Looks like couples compete to have the best sex.

  • One of the BEST...!!!! Yeah..LIVE baby.

  • I love how deep the guitars sound

  • Don't you love how soft porn-related videos appear in related videos.

YOU perverted son of a bitches-

YOU got a few tigers by the tail now!

    hehehe

    meow

  • "from the earliest days,

we've were dancin' in the shadows..."

    WHOSE shadows

    anyone know the answer?

    " lab, a lab

    fell from the sky

    fell on a cow

made a hole in the ground..."

wake up from one dream into another,

fuck the dream, go for the field

  • It's the draco reptillian illuminati shadow, that's what shadow.

  • This songs freakin stirs my emotions like none other - burns straight thru the BS

"More wine, coz I got to have it

    more skin...

I rushed the lady's room and took the water

from the toilet; washed her feet and blessed her name...more peace,

    is such a dirty habit

    slow down, we're too afraid..."

    LIVE~

  • i hate the clip love the song

  • Love Love Love this song, this band is awesome!

  • The video and song make no sense but I love to crank it up.

  • Still my fav live album

  • Yeah, oldschool TMF! :)

  • Fuck everyone with hair around their asshole!

  • dudes...this kinda reminds me of like a porn tryout...haha wow...

  • this song is great!!! it explains how humans have become so wanting of material things, but no one wants to give. things have just become too fast to catch up with in this life

  • classic

  • This was the very first Live song I listen too on the radio loved it so much the next day bought the album Secret Samadhi.

  • A kickass song by a kickass band. Love it.

  • More wine!!!! Because I got to have it!!!

  • Great song.. Dont really like the videos.

  • This is a good video, good song, good album. I hate that critics shat on the album.

  • Great song... Great band

  • Love that guitar riff.

  • great song...dumb video

  • I LOVE LIVE!

can someone tell me what this video is about?

  • I'm not really sure,kaysee33,but I get the impression from the line"peace...what a dirty habit."at the scene of making love that it's a testament to the fact that we(espacially western civilization)regard sex as dirty and vilolence an accepted form of entertainment and coarse of action.

  • What do you mean "especially western civilization"? It's the same damn thing worldwide. People are driven by greed and lust. The line "More peace...such a dirty habbit" is because everyone's idea of peace is maintaining an enviorment where we can better screw each other over with out guilty fealings.

People simply preach peace out of the lust in their hearts. It's a peace with out justice.

  • if this song doesn't get you in the mood, then you may be broken!

  • Music in the 90's was actually real music. People didn't make to get famous, they loved making music. That is why they had Tool, Bush, Live, Pearl Jam, etc. Nowadays it is all about rap and fake punk shit. Atleast we still have Avenged Sevenfold. They are the best TRUE musucians today I feel.

  • Haha, good one.

  • idk dude i would have to add incubus in there with them (thank go they have their own sound as well as disturbed - im sure theres a few other really good ones - just cant think of them atm.....

  • incubus definitely, Radiohead as well i would say. and i'm not entirely sure that A7X would be in that list :\ alot of their stuff could sound the same at first glance ya know? not trying to be a dick.

  • yeah know what u mean and u not being a dick - just the truth as u see it.....lol

  • Avenged Sevenfold? True musicians? Brush up on your music knowledge there junior.

  • nothing worse than a douchebag music critic who says nothing useful ever.

  • man i had forgotten how good this song was......

  • hear hear! havent heard it in about 10 years, he years have been kind

  • the thing that the 90s had, but the 00s lost, is the subtle elucidation towards sex. Music has often been about girls, drugs and sex, but at least prior to the 00s, producers and song writers went to some lengths to make it sound a tad classier than it actualy was. Today- well... who needs to think about what the lyrics mean when the guy/girl is there singing; "i want to F#*k you five ways from sunday" or "I'm gonna lick that lollipop good". Its a sad testament to th intellect of todays listener

  • I miss the 90's. Back then everything was so raw and pure. Nowadays no producer would let him get away with the scream at 3:48.

  • I get it now...not.

  • Then get your mind into the gutter and you will. THINK DIRTY ASSHOLE, THINK DIRTY!

  • LOL.

  • Dude...one of the best songs to dance to. I LOVE this band!! The video? Not so much...

  • hell yes. i saw these guys in concert last week and when they played this i couldn't sit still. what a song.

  • drunk+high+watching this video=awesome

  • its a song and yes a film clip that makes you think about what ever.... just enjoy it

  • what is the concept of this video? what is going on with all those naked ppl?

  • Awesome song. The album sucked though...

  • Yea, it was inconsistent and sloppy.

    The album.

  • Who is Lakini and what is his juice?

  • If Lakini is a person, maybe it could be blood, maybe wine, but Lakini could also be a place......in that case, it's probably wine.

  • If Lakini is a person, maybe it could be blood, maybe wine, but Lakini could also be a place......in that case, it's probably wine(this is a reply)

  • cool concept, but those people should've been naked.

  • fun e

  • Great song from one of their excellent albums...Secret Samadhi...

They just put an album out through their own website...with a couple of new songs and others...

  • one of the most under rated bands ever

  • i second that

  • I disagree, they had alot of airplay and recognition in their prime, they would even agree; played lotta summer tours etc. And as good as this song is, and a couple others; they aren't a consistent band and most of their other songs aren't radio friendly like this one....not saying their bad; just....they aren't underrated.

  • i forgot how sick that bassline was...are they still around?

  • Yep Live is still around and still touring. Actually going to see them tomorrow night.

  • FUCKIN YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE Jammin to Secret Samadi in the car!! This song is the shit, I remember watching this video on MTV and thinking how "naughty" it was at 13 to be watching this, haha!!

  • i think live is a good band, but i don't known how, their popularity has declined, because, if im wrong, Throwing Copper, was 8x platinum in USA in 1994.

  • what a cool song from the 90's from a band from my home state

  • This song brings back memories.. oh how i wish i could go back to the 90's!

  • My Dad listened to this music. Every time I hear this son, I alone and Lightning crashes, it reminds me of him.

  • love this song!!

  • Fuck yes! This song brings back the memories. I miss the 90s.

  • Love that riff....

  • WE FUCKING love this song!!

  • WE FUCKING love this song!!

  • saw Live last night at Toms River Fest. they played this song SOOO well. loved it.

  • They ROCKED this song out last night at Giant Center in Hershey......Live kicks ASS!!!!!!!

  • I love this song! I don't know what the hell it means, but I love it!

  • everybodys been looking for this song good thing i knew who it was. this is old and still bad ass man those 90,s where good!!!

  • i've been looking for this song for SEVEN years!

i didn't know it was from Live

  • An awesome song from an awesome group.
