  • what i like to do is attach the tissue to the bottom of a wagon on my n gauge layout will put some videos on my account.

  • one major problem with the track rubbers i get are that once the rubbers are covered with the rubbish, you can't use them again or else they will just smudge it back on. The price down under for the rubbers are about $5 at my model shop. how much are they up there?

  • @thetrainkid1 - they're about £3 to £5 depending on the rubber but I don't have a problem with them accumulating any deposits. The ones I use are designed to break up into little bits, so all you have to do is vacuum the mess up afterwards.

  • Is the hoover DCC chipped?

  • how can i make a table for my layout?

  • you sir are no longer classifyed to use equptment such as tweezers hehe jokes :)

  • crimson :) and im up too as usual ;) nice vid

  • Loved the beginning

Lol, a story of mine: I was running in an old loco of mine at a friend house, and he has it all, but after a while the rubber on the traction weal melted on the track and the weal flew off and hit a tree...

  • @firstgreatwestern76 - thanks for the comment! I shall check out your channel now.

  • Well done. :) Good cleaning there. I`ve done the same with our vaccum cleaner before, as my track often gets covered in cat hairs, lol. I do clean my track a lot, but my locos seem to run fine over strong patches of black dirt.

  • @Liverpoolfcfever

He has Said on twitter that it will be uploaded wednesday because of something to do with the vids on Friday

  • how long does it take to clean the track with kitchen paper

  • "It does look quite rude..."

I'll never look at the hoover the same again!

  • what is the scale of all does tracks??

  • @grafika97 HO scale.

  • The insects really got smashed by yr trains?

  • cool video mate :)

  • u sound a little funny and sounds like u had a little drink lol, thats wot i think not saying u have :)

  • @graystrainspotter Rest assured, he is quite sober!

  • @ApolloWolf its just the way he came out with some funny stuff ie the things he was saying.

  • w.d,40 on smooth piece of felt rag is better practice ive tried kitchen roll it snags in where the rail joints are leaving paper fibre residue to be picked up by your trains wheels.b4 i retired i worked in a machine shop, w.d.40 is one of the best degreasers there is and is very conducive to making electrical equipment work better. The Dapol product undoubtably works , but I think is un-necessary when an age old proven product like " w.d" is available and is probably better.

  • Very informative and useful video.. :) Thanks for spending the time to make it.. :) By the way, did you paint the conservatory your self?

  • very nice

    looking forward to part 2

also are you sure your suppost to put that much presure when using the track rubber?

cause i think you may be removeing some of the metal

  • When is part 2 coming out? Whats better dapol track cleaner or the fluid stuff?

  • @hornbyguy321 Nothing better than getting on your hands and knees and cleaning the track yourself.

  • Nice paint Br crimson. Will you be doing straw lining too? lol

  • When are u putting up part 2

  • @Liverpoolfcfever Friday.

  • Sick opening man! Thanks for your videos, they got me back into HO scale!

  • The loco track cleaners are REALLY LOUD too.

  • Track rubbers such as the Peco version are abrasive and will leave minute scratches on the rail surface causing problems over time. A good cleaning solution is isopropyl alcohol. The debris from track rubbers can also be conductive so if you do use one try a non-conductive one to avoid issues.

  • did the insects really hit the class 58

  • you already showed us a method of disposing the paper..............BURN IT ):-)

  • i still dont understand why you use blutack to stick your train tracks together.

  • @thewhitedinosaur Because it is for his temporary layout. His real layout will have the tracks fixed down

  • metho is very good at cleaning track rub a bit of it on with a cotton swab.

  • loving the new intro screen's

  • Very nice video, I had to the same not long ago, I use the PECO rubber, but I pefer to use my DAPOL track cleaner.

  • Do you have a wife :) ? If you do we can tell she isn't interested in trains because we don't see her.

  • @ididi9 He does not have a wife.

  • epic intro

  • nice!

  • Really liking these intros different each week :) Instead of the track cleaner fluid I tend to use good old hot water and a small amount of soap, making sure i turn the power off lol. Whens the website gonna be launched? really looking forward to it! :D

  • I have that Peco track rubber, brilliant!

I need that track cleaning fluid, to be honest.

    Nice tutorial there. :P

  • this video should actually be called ic82's way of hoovering

    lol

  • please don't film in the dark, the video is all grainy.

  • Great video - very useful. It's reassuring to see that I'm doing more or less the right things to keep my own track clean. :D Must admit, though, that I do rather fancy picking up one of those Dapol motorised cleaners.

  • Awsome! Instead of a track cleaning fluid, I use a CD cleaning fluid :D It still works perfectly!

  • when doed part 2 come out? next friday or this saturday?

  • nice 5****s i need to get and clean my track now really

  • lego highway transport on the windowsill lol

  • yes , i like that intro!!! : ) the dapol track cleaner tbh isnt very good i use the peco wheel cleaner for cleaning my layout its basicly a wire brush wich dosent get dirty or anything and it lasts alot longer than a track rubber

  • great video :)

  • i loved the start with the Hornby crane taking the C to the start it was awesome this is a awesome video

  • 00:25 is that a lego set

  • Heh he great vid! Really enjoyed it - track cleaning certainly is one of the most tedious jobs known to man but it's worth it when you see your locos running smoothly again! It would be great if someone could make a track maintenance train, like the Network Rail MPV, but with a track cleaning section, then a vacuum cleaner section following behind, and then maybe a track polishing module at the back! It could run really slowly round the layout, looking just like a proper maintenance train :)

  • 13:00 DANGEROUS BOY!! LOL XD

  • NR MUSCLE TRACK CLEANER

rip to the little creatures that died :(

  • just what i like to watch on a Friday :D
