This gives me inspiration for the future. I can't wait until my hair gets to this length! I really enjoyed this video and your face.. OMG, it looks gorgeous! Keep up the good work.:)
I love this hairstyle!! I am going to try this ... SOON! I hope it comes out right; I get lazy after a while. Did sit under a dryer or just let it air dry? Thanks for the tutorial! U look beautiful, sis!
I. ABSOULUTELY.LOVE.THIS.STYLE!!! It will be my first natural style on my own (been wearing buns done by my stylist for past 10 mos...getting expensive!...lol). May I ask, 1) what is your hair type? Mine is 4b/4c trying to get an idea of what to expect in terms of results. Also, 2) how did you preserve it at night (e.g. satin bonnet)? Thanks so much, best vid I've seen on this yet!
Ayye, I hear that mali music playing :] haha. and this is so cute!! im definately bout to try this! ... also, your hair is pretty long.. if you had used bigger rollers, would the curls have retained some of your actual length? (hope that question makes sense...)
Hey I just realized you are the same young lady that show the tutorial on the roller set with sponge rollers- Lol....btw love your videos n you have grown up!!!!!! Keep doing what you do and also love your makeup!!!!!
i'm sure u've prolly gotten this question before BUT did u straighten or blow out your hair prior to setting it? i'm just toO doggone lazy to read all the comments....please have mercy and just tell me LOL!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing. This is the one of the best videos on YouTube. You are a lifesaver. I can't wait to try it on my hair. By the way, your hair looks beautiful. Again, Thank You and God Bless you in all that you do.
I love the end result. I am trying this for the first time today. I am a newbie to wearing my hair naturally. What do u mean by stretching your hair? Does it just refer to blow drying it straight?
Fantastic results...best I've seen so far on type 4 hair. This was my staple transitioning style but I never thought it could be successful on my 4b/a hair. Was your hair stretched when doing this style?
i like this i was going natural for 4 months but wasn't strong enough to deal with two textures. I relaxed my hair with no lye perm I'm trying this now. thanks!
I am going to try this on my niece's hair. If I do this on wet/damp hair, can I put her under a hair dryer for about 15-30 mins? I just want to do her hair, style it and leave, but I don't want to stay for hours waiting for it to dry.
@MissGlamourGirl1992 Oh okay, I wasn't really sure because I've never done or seen anyone put someone under a dryer with 'sponge/foam' rollers. On second thoughts to be safe, I'm going to just use jherri/perm rods instead.
@iiRoolz I used about 6 packs and I'm sure this will work on bra strap length hair but i would recommend using the smallest flexi rods instead of foam rollers for longer hair just to make it easier
@NitaB973 This can work on any texture!! Since the rollers are pretty much replacing your natural curl pattern it doesn't matter if your hair is permed, natural, transitioning, 4zzzzz lol
I have perm rods but i've never tried sponge rollers to roller set my natural hair - your results were FABULOUS!!! I just may try this! Thanks for sharing!
@Thatallqt Thank you!!! I have to try perm rods one day!! I used to use the yellow ones in my first 5-6months natural but after that it became too tiring lol
Wow I definately love the hair I'm going to try the sponge rollers...I've been wanting this look for the longest....did u blow dried your before putting on the serum.
Wow I definately love the hair I'm going to try the sponge rollers...I've been wanting like for the longest....did u blow dried your before putting on the serum.
@kg624 If your hair is easily put into coils then yes this product would be great but if the product usually helps your hair coil then no, this product will hold the curl that is already there because the texture is more of a serum than a gel :)
@ustillwantdis I trim my hair as needed :) When I got heat damage in my bangs I trimmed off the straight ends then I trimmed alot off in the back because I didn't like the mullet shape that my hair had in wash n go's but now I don't have the need to trim my hair...
Question: how long did the curls last and how did you maintain them? I tried Lavish Curls as a refresher. My hair just get fuzzy and re rolling makes it even more frizzy. I like it but your hair looks perfect. Plus my roots were not as straight as yours either. Please tell us more.
@resourcefullycurly I didn't re-roll and I used a water and glycerin mixture to spriitz my hair... The curls lasted 5 days but even on the 5th day they looked great I just didnt want my hair to become difficult to detangle by leaving the curls for much longer
I was a wreck and really couldn't figure out what to do with my hair and i typed in roller set in the search box and your video was the first to pop up and I absolutely LOVE IT....your tutorial truly gave me some hope....and im about to give it a try A.S.AP..... I also wanted to know what makeup product do you use for your foundation? its look gorgeous on you!!!!
@AnointedDiamond YAY!!! Im glad you found it!!! In this video I used Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in "Cocoa" I love how it looks on camera but it transfers :/
so sorry just read all the comments and you answerd abt blow drying however im not familiar with a microfiber turban is this for drying and stretching hair and can i buy from bss
this is absolutly beautiful, as soon as the beauty supply opens im going to get the rollers and try i hope i master, can you tell me did you blow dry your hair 1st and did you use any products b4 blow drying and if so what products did you use....im trying to the sm exact look
i love the video also whats this song called. I feel like i hear this artist a lot in your videos what the artist name! Thank and keep uploading videos
hey booski! im super excited to try this look. my hair is a little longer and when i wet it it stays curly so do u recommend i blow dry it. i read that you had a micro fiber turban thingy. should that be used or should i just go with the curly and work with that. BTW love the color also.... im still to scared to experiment with anything other than black but maybe 1 day soon. love the makeup to! so.... umm err uhhh when r u writing a book because all this needs to be in a how-to collection!!!
@OhGunninEmDown Sis you are too funny :D welllll wet or dry the outcome will be the same so I say whichever way is easier for you to detangle and section your hair, If you blow dry do it on cool just because your scalp may become easily irritated with blowing it out then having soooo many rollers in you know ;)
@MsSunbean I have 2...one with shea butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, olive, castor, aloe vera juice, and my africa's best, and then the second mixture is the exact same only with half of it being eco styler gel for my twistouts :)
@yhoffman YAY!!! It lasted me 5 days but the only reason I washed was because I justtt did my color and needed to deep condition lol but the curls were still poppin :D
@yhoffman Lol yep Im all natural and honestly I hateeee shampooing my hair lol BUT when I do I typically reach for my Alba ph balanced shampoo and conditioner... whenever I shampoo with alba I always use the matching conditioner because they are designed to work together but on the regular I cowash with VO5, Aussie moist, herbal essence (drama clean) etc.. and deep condition with olive oil, mayo, and honey as well as several hot oil treatments with castor oil and other natural oils
i did it last nite, i couldnt find the goddess curl for nothing so i used taalijah wajjid curl cream n organic root stimulator humidity serum (good ish) .im not mad at the results,i know the next time it will be better!!!
Love your look chica!! Hair and makeup on point. Alsolove the earings btw. Thanks so much for the tutorial. Im still waiting on that simple neutral makeup tutorial. Keep em coming :)
Now you make me want to stop being lazy and roller set my hair in hopes that my curls will come out half as bomb as yours. Your hair is too cute. Thank you for sharing. #motivation101
@cocofine22 lol I actually left my hair in my micro-fiber turban longer than expected so it ended up almost totally dry and stretched but no blow dry :)
@musicbeautyluv1 It's from my Inglot Palette shown it my "Her Majesty" tut but the purple and the green are switched...but it is the same concept only different colors if that helps :/
Nice, I can't wait until I get enough length to do that, so how many rollers should I purchase? Love your makeup, what colors did you use on your eyes and lower lashlid
@tonialeejohnson Thanks!!! I purchased like 4-6 packs lol just to be safe ;) For my makeup I used some Inglot shadows lol I dnt know the names off the top of my head but creme, gold, green, and a little purple on the lower lashline
love this will be doing it this weekend!!
