  • love it!

  • hey does this work on relaxers? i have a relaxer now but im trying to grow it out so my roots are pretty curly..

  • Is that a foam or setting lotion type cream? all I saw at target was the gel and conditioner.

  • omg i'm so freaking jealous i want this hairstyle :'(

  • Just took my rollers out turned out great! Thanks again

  • Ayye, I hear that mali music playing :] haha. and this is so cute!! im definately bout to try this! ... also, your hair is pretty long.. if you had used bigger rollers, would the curls have retained some of your actual length? (hope that question makes sense...)

  • do u find that the sponge part dries out your hair or pulls it out? thanks for the journey the curls r really cute.

  • Hey I just realized you are the same young lady that show the tutorial on the roller set with sponge rollers- Lol....btw love your videos n you have grown up!!!!!! Keep doing what you do and also love your makeup!!!!!

  • i'm sure u've prolly gotten this question before BUT did u straighten or blow out your hair prior to setting it? i'm just toO doggone lazy to read all the comments....please have mercy and just tell me LOL!!!!

  • @ladibug85 My hair was air-dryed in a microfiber turban

  • @MissGlamourGirl1992 never heard of a microfiber turban.

  • Thank you so much for sharing. This is the one of the best videos on YouTube. You are a lifesaver. I can't wait to try it on my hair. By the way, your hair looks beautiful. Again, Thank You and God Bless you in all that you do.

  • hello! you used 2 different products after the Rods can you tell me the name? thanks

  • How do you know what type your hair is?

  • Your hairs beautiful! Thanks & i love how you got Mali Music all on your vids its amazing :)

  • very nice style. I am going to have to try it!

  • How long does it last? And what do you do to keep it up until the next wash/style day?

  • im loving the mali music on here also your makeup

  • best vid I've seen!!! love it!!! Now I'm going to try it!!!

  • Cute style! Big ups on the Mali Music :)

  • absolutely love it and your style. very pretty

  • I looooove your makeup in this video... I've never seen those colors put together like that... it looks AMAZING.... I may have to try that :)

  • I gotta ask you what music are you playing?? I heard Mali once but who else is that. That is jammin for real!!!

  • This look is phenominal!! I love it!!!

  • I love the end result. I am trying this for the first time today. I am a newbie to wearing my hair naturally. What do u mean by stretching your hair? Does it just refer to blow drying it straight?

  • was your hair streched with heat?

  • I really like this!

Everytime I try to curl my natural hair

it looks a Hot mess. It is always dry looking and

    I look ball headed... lol

I will try this and see how it comes out one day.

    wish me luck :-))

  • hey, could i do this on shorter hair?

  • How did you stretch out your hair with your turban?

  • Fantastic results...best I've seen so far on type 4 hair. This was my staple transitioning style but I never thought it could be successful on my 4b/a hair. Was your hair stretched when doing this style?

  • @empressm6 Thanks!! And yes I had freshly washed hair stretched in my microfiber turban

  • love it !! i need to go back to my foam rollers

  • i like this i was going natural for 4 months but wasn't strong enough to deal with two textures. I relaxed my hair with no lye perm I'm trying this now. thanks!

  • Can you use perm rods instead of foam rollers?

  • Could you do a tutorial using perm rods?

  • Also, can I use shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie underneath the curls gel? Will it work just the same?

  • I am going to try this on my niece's hair. If I do this on wet/damp hair, can I put her under a hair dryer for about 15-30 mins? I just want to do her hair, style it and leave, but I don't want to stay for hours waiting for it to dry.

  • @TaShar16 I'm sure you can put her under the dryer and the curls smoothie will just add moisture so why not!!!??

  • @MissGlamourGirl1992 Oh okay, I wasn't really sure because I've never done or seen anyone put someone under a dryer with 'sponge/foam' rollers. On second thoughts to be safe, I'm going to just use jherri/perm rods instead.

  • How many did you use and will this work on bra-strap length hair?

  • @iiRoolz I used about 6 packs and I'm sure this will work on bra strap length hair but i would recommend using the smallest flexi rods instead of foam rollers for longer hair just to make it easier

  • can this work on kinky-er hair textures?...and where do live lol, do u do hair?

  • @NitaB973 This can work on any texture!! Since the rollers are pretty much replacing your natural curl pattern it doesn't matter if your hair is permed, natural, transitioning, 4zzzzz lol

  • I plan on trying this on my 9 year old...wish me luck!

I just BC'd 2 weeks ago so I don't have enough hair to try this yet but I will in the future. Thanks for the great tips! :D

  • @alijenks311 That's awesome!! Hope it turns out well!!!

  • Thank you so very much! I'm going to try this when I get home tonight. I'm four months post BC and eager to style!

  • @TivonaPretty YAY!! I hope it turns out well!!

  • I didnt know u could get results like that w sponge rollers! It turned out nice!

  • @Naturallyme39 most certainly can :)

  • ?song name please?

and have you tried this with bigger rollers?

  • @kisakye92 Mali music "Light" and noo I havent tried with bigger rollers...

  • love your hair! where did you get those leopard glasses from?

  • @cocopuff202 Thanks :) Big Lots a few years back

  • I have perm rods but i've never tried sponge rollers to roller set my natural hair - your results were FABULOUS!!! I just may try this! Thanks for sharing!

  • @Thatallqt Thank you!!! I have to try perm rods one day!! I used to use the yellow ones in my first 5-6months natural but after that it became too tiring lol

  • gorgeous!

  • @ForestElfQueen Aww THank you!!

  • I love the hair style

  • @chelleum thank you :)

  • love this look! do you know what size rollers you used? they look like they might be 5/8" ?

  • @curlyxPOP Thank you!! I'm not sure but I know they were the smallest available...

  • I LOVE this style and the way it came out in your hair! I am so going to try this with the sponge rollers.

  • thank you for this..very beautiful!

  • in how many timE you do this ?

  • Wow I definately love the hair I'm going to try the sponge rollers...I've been wanting this look for the longest....did u blow dried your before putting on the serum.

  • Wow I definately love the hair I'm going to try the sponge rollers...I've been wanting like for the longest....did u blow dried your before putting on the serum.

  • @10torrie I airdried my hair using my micro-fiber turban so it dried stretched

  • I may have missed this, but was your hair wet or dry? Had it been washed and was still wet? Or was the product your source of moisture?

  • @BriMarie3689 I applied my leave-in conditioner right out the shower and let my hair airdry with my micro-fiber turban

  • i can't believe you got this look with sponge rollers. Well wish my luck. Hope it comes out as good as yours! My hair is short and THICK!!

  • @tarraall Patience is key!!! ::Crosses Fingers:: I hope it comes out well for you!! Remember to smooth the ends ;)

  • Off topic babble- your makeup is fantastic! Can you tell us what you're wearing? Lipstick, eye shadow, etc.... :)

  • @MsAuntieTT All the eyeshadows are Inglot which I use in several videos and the lip color is Revlon "Berry Haute" with a purple liner

  • Would you recommend the Curls gel for coils/coil out?

  • @kg624 If your hair is easily put into coils then yes this product would be great but if the product usually helps your hair coil then no, this product will hold the curl that is already there because the texture is more of a serum than a gel :)

  • LOVE the music in the! could you tell me either the artist or the name of the songs? Thank you n advance!

  • @futuristicpeep Mali Music "Light"

  • @brittanyblossoms Thanks!! It was dry for the most part but damp in areas...

  • @MissGlamourGirl1992 how often do you trim your hair...I did the bc in last december and I haven't trimmed my hair not once...

  • @ustillwantdis I trim my hair as needed :) When I got heat damage in my bangs I trimmed off the straight ends then I trimmed alot off in the back because I didn't like the mullet shape that my hair had in wash n go's but now I don't have the need to trim my hair...

  • Question: how long did the curls last and how did you maintain them? I tried Lavish Curls as a refresher. My hair just get fuzzy and re rolling makes it even more frizzy. I like it but your hair looks perfect. Plus my roots were not as straight as yours either. Please tell us more.

  • @resourcefullycurly I didn't re-roll and I used a water and glycerin mixture to spriitz my hair... The curls lasted 5 days but even on the 5th day they looked great I just didnt want my hair to become difficult to detangle by leaving the curls for much longer

  • was this done on freshly washed hair? howd you dry it? what product did you use before rolling it? your hair looks kind shiny already

  • @krazisexikool I just let it dry in my micro-fiiber turban :) The products I used are shown in the video

  • I found this link on CurlyNikki and tried it that very night. It worked and gave me hope! Thanks so much for posting!

  • @resourcefullycurly WOw Thanks ^_^ I wish I knew who posted it... :/

  • CUTE!! PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE EARRINGS ARE FROM! LOL

  • @DaniRGordon Thanks!! I actually made them from the faux Rosary beads at the beauty supply store :)

  • I was a wreck and really couldn't figure out what to do with my hair and i typed in roller set in the search box and your video was the first to pop up and I absolutely LOVE IT....your tutorial truly gave me some hope....and im about to give it a try A.S.AP..... I also wanted to know what makeup product do you use for your foundation? its look gorgeous on you!!!!

  • @AnointedDiamond YAY!!! Im glad you found it!!! In this video I used Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in "Cocoa" I love how it looks on camera but it transfers :/

  • Thanks..I am going to try this on my daughter...

  • was your hair wet or blown out for this?

  • @sam33296 It was pretty dry and stretched but not blow dryed..

  • Um... this lipstick??? Please tell me the brand and color lol! It looks fabulous on you!!!

  • @dori1017 Thnks!!! It's Revlon Berry Haute with a purple liner

  • @MissGlamourGirl1992 Thank you hun!!! I's goin to get it!!! lol!

  • how many rollers?

  • @teachmetostyle about 6 packs :)

  • What is your nighttime routine with this style?

  • @MsCandra06 Satin bonet and hot shower in the morning for a little moisture :)

  • so sorry just read all the comments and you answerd abt blow drying however im not familiar with a microfiber turban is this for drying and stretching hair and can i buy from bss

  • @32nonstop I actually purchased it at Ross :D It's for drying hair and I love it!!

  • this is absolutly beautiful, as soon as the beauty supply opens im going to get the rollers and try i hope i master, can you tell me did you blow dry your hair 1st and did you use any products b4 blow drying and if so what products did you use....im trying to the sm exact look

  • I will probably do this style when I launch my channel & take your advice to really moisturize beforehand. Thanks.

  • There are some rollers with satin on them as well try them

  • @credrick20 Thanks :) I've seen some satin rollers are they the ones with the snaps??

  • This is too cute. I'm going to try it. I was afraid to do this becasue I always was told that sponge rollers could break you hair off.

  • @phenomenalagent O_o break your hair off??? how so? anyway lol just be careful with taking them out and moisturize before doing the set :)

  • about how many rollers did u use?

  • @muzicfreak54 Woooyyy Im not really sure Id say about 6 packs give or take :/

  • hey whats the name of the gel again that you are putting on your hair please?

  • @avwoodson1 "Goddess Curls" by Curls for Target

  • @MissGlamourGirl1992 thx looks great

  • @LaingoAshley Lol You do!! Mali Music is one of my fav artists right now and this song is "Light" :)

  • @MissGlamourGirl1992 Thanks I'm gonna download it to my ipod!!!! :D

  • hey booski! im super excited to try this look. my hair is a little longer and when i wet it it stays curly so do u recommend i blow dry it. i read that you had a micro fiber turban thingy. should that be used or should i just go with the curly and work with that. BTW love the color also.... im still to scared to experiment with anything other than black but maybe 1 day soon. love the makeup to! so.... umm err uhhh when r u writing a book because all this needs to be in a how-to collection!!!

  • @OhGunninEmDown Sis you are too funny :D welllll wet or dry the outcome will be the same so I say whichever way is easier for you to detangle and section your hair, If you blow dry do it on cool just because your scalp may become easily irritated with blowing it out then having soooo many rollers in you know ;)

  • What's in your Shea butter mixture?

  • @MsSunbean I have 2...one with shea butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, olive, castor, aloe vera juice, and my africa's best, and then the second mixture is the exact same only with half of it being eco styler gel for my twistouts :)

  • Thanks, I'm going to try this and hopefully it turns out right......how long did the style last?

  • @yhoffman YAY!!! It lasted me 5 days but the only reason I washed was because I justtt did my color and needed to deep condition lol but the curls were still poppin :D

  • So did you use just the Goddess Curl or do you addd something else with it like Argan Oil?

  • @yhoffman I moisturized my hair with my shea butter mixture and then added the goddess curls on the individual sections :)

  • What did you wash your hair with? Are you all natural? Okay.....I see that you are.....but what do you shampoo with?

  • @yhoffman Lol yep Im all natural and honestly I hateeee shampooing my hair lol BUT when I do I typically reach for my Alba ph balanced shampoo and conditioner... whenever I shampoo with alba I always use the matching conditioner because they are designed to work together but on the regular I cowash with VO5, Aussie moist, herbal essence (drama clean) etc.. and deep condition with olive oil, mayo, and honey as well as several hot oil treatments with castor oil and other natural oils

  • What did you wash your hair with? Are you all natural?

  • i did it last nite, i couldnt find the goddess curl for nothing so i used taalijah wajjid curl cream n organic root stimulator humidity serum (good ish) .im not mad at the results,i know the next time it will be better!!!

  • @cooleynore OOO How did you like the curl cream!!?? I wanna try it!!

  • cute!

  • @bigbodyl2005 Thanks sis!!

  • how many packages of rollers did you use?

  • @shanzie81 Thanks sis!! I gotchu with the neutral tut!!

  • Now you make me want to stop being lazy and roller set my hair in hopes that my curls will come out half as bomb as yours. Your hair is too cute. Thank you for sharing. #motivation101

  • @winterplayhouse AWW Thanks sis!!! pop in a movie and get to rollin!!! lol

  • is your hair blown out! i love the look, my hair has to grow a little more before i try!

  • @cocofine22 lol I actually left my hair in my micro-fiber turban longer than expected so it ended up almost totally dry and stretched but no blow dry :)

  • do you have a makeup tutorial for this look? Or is it a variation of a tut you already have?

  • @musicbeautyluv1 It's from my Inglot Palette shown it my "Her Majesty" tut but the purple and the green are switched...but it is the same concept only different colors if that helps :/

  • @MissGlamourGirl1992 yes it does! thank u :)

  • is your hair blown out!

  • SUPPPERRR CUTE....? did you blow dry your hair 1st?

  • @naturalbrownbeautie Thanks!!! It wasnt blowdried but since I had on my micro-fiber turban it dried stretched :)

  • I have been waiting for this vid...thank you!

  • @LittleMissFangirl YAAY!!!! Thanks!!! lol it took 7months but it's here lol!!

  • @Sweetss30 Thanks you!!! Im on my 3rd day hair and it's still kickin lol

  • Nice, I can't wait until I get enough length to do that, so how many rollers should I purchase? Love your makeup, what colors did you use on your eyes and lower lashlid

  • @tonialeejohnson Thanks!!! I purchased like 4-6 packs lol just to be safe ;) For my makeup I used some Inglot shadows lol I dnt know the names off the top of my head but creme, gold, green, and a little purple on the lower lashline
