Stop whining about this video. Bill jordan is one of the best hunters in the Southeast. And owns and operates one of the best Ranches in the Southeast. He made a not so decent shot. So Fn what.
Hunting in Saskatchewan with a rifle without wearing white/orange/red/yellow is considered poaching. If your gonna hunt in a foreign place learn the laws of the land first. I am insulted that you would dare poach in my province.
@classicferrarilover Normally you are right. On first nations land not so much. Trust me. Bill will be legal. I am not sure if you know, but he is one of the most respected hunters in the world.
BILLBOARD JORDAN - just spray some of this and sprinkle a little of that , while wearing so&so and using those cartridges and dont forget your mossey oak. - hunter my ass - Sell out .
Out of all the bucks i've seen you kill and I'm 35...I would love to see you hunt some FREE ROAMING DEER anywhere in the eastern US , mountain or northern . Must be nice to be rich and go to all these ranches ( fenced in - fish in a barrel ) & shoot farm raised , MADE into nontypical by altering the button bucks antlers . I would out hunt you in a second and who cant shoot good ? everyone I know is a decent shot. What a joke --- All these trophy's and not a ounce of pride. LMAO
First, Bill is the man! Not a great shot though but, even the pros blow it sometime. Do you always do it perfect at work place? Fact is he recovered the deer so all is good! 04rev800 is right. In Sk you need to wear colors when hunting with rifle. However, some outfitting camps are located on and run by First Nations groups. The rules on their land are different and this is legal. The only concern I had on this video is that using a decoy is pretty dangerous stuff during rifle season.
All I want to know is whats Bill wearing camo in rifle season in Saskatchewan , you cant wear camo in rifle season here must wear full colors (red, White, yellow or orange)
@04rev800 in Pa you have to have a blaze vest and hat which is good, because if not then someone might not see you and whether your a deer or not shoot you
Been bowhunting for 24 years jean and a flanel shirt or wool shirt as far scent don't buy any of that scent killer crap ! wind in your face. don't wast your money with expensive patterns. don't believe me do your homework. I challenge any one to prove me wrong.
I'm not going to try to prove you wrong, but to each his own. My grandfather has success in red flannel wool jackets and jeans or plaid wool pants. I wear full camo or a camo jacket and wool pants and I'm successful. I know that to human eyes I'm more hidden in camo, hence I'm more hidden to a deers eyes. I have also had deer within 10 yards of me while wearing a t shirt and shorts in the summer. Again, to each his own my friend.
I just don't want the new young hunters to think you need all this fancy camo or gear in order to be succesful, I started in My Marine Corps fatgues and did fine. I just see these so called expert hunters pushing it. like its magic. Like I said any one can hunt on private land or fully guided. Not trying to offend anyone, just preaching the truth. thanks for your feed back.
I agree totally. I'm pretty young and use camo, but I know I don't need it to be successful, I just enjoy getting camo'd up and hitting the woods. Bill Jordan is pushing the camo because its his pattern and of course he wants to sell some.
I personally hunt on private family land that has been in the family for around 200 years with about 15 other guys, its really a great time. Hunting is so much fun.
I hunt private property, but for many years I hunted in my military camo and on state land. As long as new hunters don't fall into the lies that they need it to go hunting to be successfull.
@justbran12 thats true you have a point. i use to use just plain old camo and a flannel jacket over that and had no problem, but i got a pretty decent ammount of money so i bought realtree ap camo jacket and pants and did nothing more but keep me warmer haha
@hoythunting1 My whole point , when i was young I fell into the hype that I had to use camo. I just don't want new hunters to think you need it or you can't be successfull.
@justbran12 thats a very good point but the thing is, deer are partially color blind, therefore, them seeing a blob of black in a tree would be much easier to see then camo, but still flannel is just as good so i understand what your saying, they shouldnt be pushed to where camouflage.
@justbran12 would you rather be freezing your ass of in a treestand or be nice, warm and focused, where the deer cant hear or see you. i also hunt with a flannel shirt and dont have a problem but i still think that camo is better and warmer and you have a better chance of getting a deer with scent killer
i agree with alberta12 im from saskatchewan the hunting law is that you wear, atleast one piece of clothing pants or jacket that has to be orange white yellow or red. i know he put an orange toque on the deer decoy but what if another hunter didnt see the decoy. this guy should be reported! deer was nice but shouldnt have been shot illegally!
The rules are a upper garmet of Red, Orange, Yellow or White, and a Hat of Orange or Red. This was either a High Fence or Indian reserve hunt. Different rules apply.
@alberta12 True, but, some outfitting camps are located on and run by First Nations groups. The rules on their land are different and this is legal. in those cases. Pretty sure Bill wouldn't break the law. He is a pro!
Nice gut shot, but i guess when you shoot for a living the meat don't mean much. thank you for coming to my country and wasting our deer on your wall and not the freezer. come again soon.
@metric27 I am a professional at my work place and I am good at what I do. Doesn't mean I don't mess up once in a while. Are you perfect? Give him a bit of a break. Bill is a better shot then most anyone. Plus, I know some outfitters. Getting companies like Realtree Outdoors up here is great for the industry and the meat goes to food banks.
@metric27 look at video again more closely shot goes in base of neck at top of brisket then out the ass do you think that much of the meat that he payed your coun try $4000 to hunt is wasted How about not shoot and pay $ 4000 not to get one of YOUR DEER
That's a nice one, but this video is a poor example of taking a good shot. That deer was quartering toward him and its shoulder blade covered most of the vitals.
@jmiff79 I should come visit. I live in Saskatchewan. We have a lot of big deer. It's hard to find the 160 or better even here. If it were really that easy, howcome the B & C bucks aren't shot by the thousands every year?
Just wanted to let you know that i am from Iowa and i know wat big bucks look like. We actually challenge ourselves, we don't pour a bucket of corn on the ground then grab our .243 and walk 250 yards away and shoot monster whitetails.
Just wanted to let you know that I am from Iowa and i know wat big bucks look like. We actually challenge ourselves, we dont pour a bucket of corn on the ground then grab our .243 and walk 250 yards away and shoot monster whitetails.

houston81 is retarded. iv hunted 5 yrs. im only 15 and hunt just about everyday of the year and iv taken 2 nice 8 pointers and a 5. and iv only had one encounter with a true MONSTER while bowhunting this year. and im sad to say but willing to admit i missed. so it aint as easy yout think
what is wrong with all of you tree hugging hippies if you dont like hunting then why do you whatch its kinda stupid. you guys wouldnt know how hard it is to kill a deer let alone a mature buck.
Actually, its not that hard to shoot a big deer. 90% of it is the regio-area you are hunting, 5% skill, and 5% luck:) Go rifle hunt in Canada, S.Texas, Iowa, and I'm sure you will see bruisers like this during the rut. So again it is not that hard to shoot a buck like that especially if you are hunting in the right place during the peak of rut.
I guess it depends on what you call a big deer. I live and hunt in Saskatchewan. True, we have some of the biggest animals in North America, but shooting a booner is still not easy. I waited 15 years to get a deer that grosses B & C class, still didn't make book. The monsters aren't behind every tree, even here. But your chances are better, just not easy.
U r dumb its not like you can just go and kill a 160 inch plus buck every time u climb into a treestand or crawl into a blind you just cant, it takes alot of hard work, so shut up houston81
Im surprised you were the fastest swimming sperm out of a shot that produced between 20and100 million sperm(I can only imagine what the runner up would have been like) Now that we have that on the table let me say again: Most of it is where you hunt jackass. My lil sister just killed a 173b&c south Texas buck. She hunted during the rut and in a place that produces trophy bucks. Now, if you are hunting shitty public land that is over hunted it is "not like you can just go and kill" a big deer.
Let's not get into the whole Canadian/American thing here. We're all ethical hunters right? The fact is here in Canada and as well as the U.S. we have some great hunting area all across this land. I don't necessarily agree with all the baiting and stuff in the states but the bottom line is these guys are damn good hunters.
Everyone loves to rip Americans, but remember this...the only reason you keep your big barley farm is because we have kept you safe for the last 200+ years. I hunt waterfowl in SK every year. All the deer hunters I have met drive around the bush and shoot out of thier windows. You're right, no need for decoys or scent. Just a tank of gas and a "Best of Rush" cassette.
Finally, someone who understand the rules and ethics of hunting. These "hunters" need to be taught some true Canadian hunting values. Great comment.....don't let them fill us with too much BS!!!
i gotta agree, another american hunter comes up, cant follow our rules, this year of course they change so its only blaze orange from the waste up, none the less i am gettin sick and tired of that BS, u wanna hunt in canada, hunt by our rules. and just a side note that deer is little below average around here
First of all that is a good deer anywhere and if you knew the rules you won't have made such a comment, when hunting on indian reserves, which this is you don't have to where colors or even hunt in the day time. So next time you want to rip someone make sure you know what you are talking about!!!
believe me buddy, many of us around here got our views of indian reserves, and thats something else we dont agree with nither, spot lighting and that bs is all unethical, next thing u know ull want to be able to hunt on sundays while ur at it, so personally im thinking ur ethics are gone out the window
Listen man, I'm not saying that I agree with spotlighting, or hunting on Sundays, that's just the way that it is. I buy a tag just like everyone else. I'm just saying don't rip the guy apart when he's not doing anything wrong.
Legally hes not wrong and everybody has different ethics when it come to hunting mostly they follow the same basic idea they vary between most, whether it be me you or jon doe living down the road comes from different backgrounds and our fathers taught us its imprinted on us in my comment when i sorry if i gave off the wrong impression didnt word it right way
