When gas was 19 cents a gallon and a pop was 5 cents and a chocolate bar was 5 cents and a bus ride was 10 cents people had money to own their own homes. Now people can't afford a home even if they worked 100 hours a week. I have been working my ass off 30 years and I am poorer now then when I was a teen with no experience. Even if you could save your money, food and gas is inflating at double digit rates. One 1969 dollar buys 3 cents worth today. All the money I saved is worthless now.

If they eliminated income taxes and stopped the war machine the economy would boom overnight as well. Bring back free markets and free enterprise and eliminate all the red tape put on employers. No more workman's compensation payments.. no more GST.. no more income taxes..all this kills jobs. People are reluctant to start businesses when they have to pay so much to the piper before they can even make any money. Buy local and stop buying products made from slave wages.

The only way you will fix the economy is to put back the money in peoples pockets. You can do this by lowering the price of gas to 50 cents a gallon and then food prices will drop from the lower shipping costs. Right now people are spending all their extra money on food and gas and insurance so they have none left over to spend. on anything else. If they gave people the free energy then everybody would have extra money to buy things and the economy would boom overnight.

I agree with Celente about the state of the union. It is a shameful display - this is not supposed to look like a rowdy drunken night at the sports tavern. I also thought it was funny how Obama began by saying all presidents have done the state of the union, when that is not at all true. The most honorable ones (Jefferson, Lincoln, Jackson - 1800-1913) did not like public speaking so conducted business with congress without it. It just shows how little Obama really knows about American history.

I put Jackson in there because he supposedly had the backbone to abolish the Second Bank before it took over, unlike the leaders of the 20th century who let the Federal Reserve just walk in and take control of our currency, and constantly create crisis. for one andrew jackson was a slave holder and a hypocrite, he said he would uphold all supreme court decisions and basically trashed the supreme court decisions regarding native americans he refused to enforce the right of occupancy law written in 1831 and he instead enforced the indian removal act...he also killed a man. hes one of the worst presidents this country has ever had. people keep on talking about this Fed reserve crap...they're things bigger than money going on.

As for "killed a man" - our current soldiers are killing men as well. Does that make them murderers? No, they are commanded to do so by the powers that be. Who are the powers that be? Who and for what reasons are commanding these wars in the oil nations (bankster speculators and groups who realize possession of the oil = power).
