  • is it just me or does this building look lyk a giant penis

  • 0:46 it will take your breath away .... in modern langage 0:46 > U will shit brix

  • This looks like another city plan to abuse public funds

  • @divinejudge1 ...Did you even watch the video? It would be entirely privately funded.

  • Ahh, dreamers, don't they realize the Cuban's will never let them bulldoze the Miami Outboard Club?

  • When the US begins switching to the metric system in 2020, combined with this building which will strengthen the economy extremely, the US will become stronger than every other country in the world put together.

  • @mainchow10 metric system?

you think the U.S. will build very tall buildings (over 2000 feet) in the future?

  • I like the project ideas, but I'm not a fan of the whole building design..

  • is this going to be built?

  • @cd949604 Probably not.

  • I wonder, how r we going to get in and out Miami Beach and where is the parking for such behemoth?

  • deammmmmmmmmmmmm i love thiss

  • So they got their inspiration from Orthanc in Lord of the Rings...

  • This design is clumsy and not well thought out. Koby got paid minimal dollars to do this and he took the commission knowing it would never be built. Not one engineer was consulted. Furthermore, the developer passed away and Kobi is still professing this as a possibility. Koby's stole from another project that had true engineering principles behind the tall curved sheer wall exoskeleton. Koby is a whore that will do anything to push his rank architectural practice.

  • Awesome, finally our city has excellent dreams this is worth more than that stupid stadium were building for a team that barely wins even if that.. (marlins)

  • Bad idea. Not bad idea in general, but bad idea having in mind that MIA is in hurricane area.

  • That's a little toooo tall. I live in the suburbs so I won't see the building everyday though.

  • BUILD THIS NOW

  • i will go there just to see it

  • looks like the modeled the building after a bottle of Nuvo

  • WOW!!!! The beautifulest building in the world!!!

  • "No cost overruns"?

Have these folks ever built anything in Miami before?

  • If this was built, it would attract alot of people and could be successful in a way for most people down south. Drugs or business, hotel or condos, performences and a theme park, earth friendly and like a city, it could bring in the money if done right unlike most projects nowadays. I'm just wondering how they are going to make a no flight zone because the MIA Airport isn't that far away, and if your coming in from other countries you would usually pass by near watson island and around the area

  • That was 1 hell of a power point presentation

  • Welcome to ISENGARD, Florida.

  • @lxsosna Nice... lol

  • The FAA will never allowed this since stands right in the pass of MIA ,all plane come and go right where they want to build this.....so is not going to happen......too bad

  • Miami is gonna b the next NYC with all these skylines their making

  • But wait! There's More!

Order now for only $19.95 plus shipping and handling.

  • Will it withstand hurricanes?

  • @rb7magnetico

It will be hurricane proof, tornado proof, and even Arab proof.

  • @lxsosna you need the arabs or chinese to invest in it. Look at the Chicago spire...no money no building

  • @rb7magnetico Neither of those unfree people had anything to do with Trump's Tower in Chicago (the finished one), or the 4 skyscrapers of the New World Trade center (still being built.)

  • @Nonamearisto trump tower is nothing in a level what is and has been built in china and dubai, freedom tower, by the time it is finished it wont even be in the top ten in comparison to other projects overseas. Freedom tower reallly is a joke and seems to placate national pride.Miaoplis if it ever gets funds would be the Burj of the Americas

  • @rb7magnetico most likely they design buildings to withstand the weather in the region they build it to ensure its safe, if they didnt why would you propose a building that isnt safe or planned out very well

  • @rb7magnetico Another video about it said it will.

  • @rb7magnetico Yes.

  • @MJ1992KingofPop Maybe after its complete but during the years of building it isnt.I personally think this building will never happen.

  • @rb7magnetico yes they talked about this on news

  • @SuperPark1234 when engineers break ground then it woud be great but for now its as real as the Chicago Spire

  • @rb7magnetico nah, Miapolis is just blueprints for now. the Chicago Spire resulted in a Giant round hole.

  • they should build this

  • @wb5704 hey right wing "fucktard."....what does liberal has to do with anything?

  • @matanzas5337 bc it's obviously liberals who want it to fail.

  • 7:45 looks like an erect cock and balls, exactly what the real miamians are gonna get if this is approved.

  • @davsebastian

    JUAAAA!!!!!

  • pandering to the upper crust, dont they have enough with Fisher Island...?

  • I remember the omni was sold to us in the same manner, remember the carousel?? Inside Amusement park my ass

  • A big fucking sore thumb, that's what this would be. Simply another tall building built for the upper classes ---- absolute shit.

  • I'm sure that traffic to and from will never be a problem, South Florida always has implausibly easy and uncongested traffic flow

  • If the taxes in Miami weren't high enough.......

  • You know what's crazy?

Bill Gates could afford a couple of these.

  • How exactly do they plan on building a 3200 foot massive skyscraper on Watson Island?

  • WHERE'S THE FACSHION?!!!

  • Comment removed

  • what silly crap. a 3000 foot building in the middle of Hurricane Alley?! really?! there is absolutely no way any investor would get within 800 miles of sinking a pile of money into something like this; it will just get blown away with the next storm.

  • @TripFlorida Except obviously it will be hurricane proof. Hurricane's have low speeds and only cause a lot of damage because they cover a very large area and have violent floods and storms that come with them. Taipei 101 is right in hurricane alley also and the most active earthquake zone in the world. So, no, it wouldn't get blown away.

  • I dont think this will be built, last time America built the worlds tallest buildings, terrorists flew planes into them.....:(

  • @Chompy0091 Wrong. Willis Tower was taller than the World Trade Center since 1974.

  • @colt4cm your sentence was partly wrong, because the world trade center towers was the tallest building in the world for two years, which i was referring to. Who knows, the willis tower might be destroyed to?

  • the US alway had the tallest building in the world, and now we have to take that title back

  • @narv2010 I'm sure we will take it back, but not for several decades. Maybe when I'm in my 60s... (I'm 22, btw)

  • @Nonamearisto

Wow this is almost 40 years, I can't wait that long ;)

  • Miami have to build this super tall tower, the US have to regain the top of the list of tallest buildings in the world

  • @EeJLP $22B is more like 0.17% of the national debt. Even by your math you need to drop the % or multiply by 100. Nothing personal, it was just bothering me.

  • Do it.

  • is this real?

  • @sirtjcovertiii Its a proposale the city has not approved it yet.

  • How about we take that 22 billion dollars and pay off united states debts?

  • @Sabored why? the federal govt is building this

  • @chicagoguy19 ok, sure, the part of the government that should be paying isn't paying exactly, but I'm sure paying off our debts would be a better use for this money. War or miapolis

  • @Sabored yeah but this is private money. u cant tell someone what to spend money on. IF (and yes i know, lets be real this might not ALL come from private investment but...) this money is coming from a private company and coming from private investors....we have no say on how to use their money. This isnt china.. the federal govt doesnt(shouldnt anyways) own the banks and doesnt control what buildings are being built.

  • @chicagoguy19 Yes. I was trying to say that if someone is rich enough, they should help pay off our debts more, even though we pay taxes, the taxes aren't going to our debt.I know we don't really fight about our debts, but how much stuff do you think would be solved if all of the countries didn't owe anything?

  • @Sabored

Because we owe ~1,000x that amount. I'd rather have this building than pay off 0.001% of our debt.

  • @EeJLP Oh, now i sound like an idiot (I'm a rare person that admits when they're wrong) i thought we only owed a couple of billion, we owe a couple of trillion

  • watson island? hey thats where chalks ocean airways operates!

  • I live about 45 minutes away from Miami.... I say LETS DO IT!!! this would be amazing to have! I always dream about New York City and its huge sky scrapers, but the city i live near and love, would make others dream about Miami

  • My question is, who in hell is going to buy apartments there when we have tons of empty apartments in Miami?

  • you obiously never been to seattle

  • This is a scam. The whole plan has many flaws, but is to sound good to attract money.

The pusher's plan is just to attract investment, then bail & run.

  • reminds me of bioshock.

  • It would be nice to see it, and certainly Miapolis is a lot more reasonable in Miami than the Burj Khalifa was in Dubai; one is a city with REAL economic power, the other is a hole in the desert with no real regulations where greedy Western businessmen could invest in insane schemes during the height of a real estate bubble that has long since burst.

Still, at present time, Miapolis seems highly unlikely to be built. A real shame.

  • I wish it will be built. If nothing else, it will give the US the world's tallest building again. Let's hope it isn't a white elephant that has no reason to exist other than to say, "hey! We have a taller building!"

  • I live in Miami, no taxpayer dollars needed...thats when all the coke money comes in handy...just highway 395 to get to it! noway enough traffic..its gona be hell

  • that damn building was impressed with the architecture and design since it'll keep an apartment for me this wonder it gets in terms of infrastructure Binco the burj-dubai.

  • lol at 7:45 it looks like a dick and balls

miami will be known for the biggest dick!!!

  • @basketBallboy235 ur mom is known as dick and balls~!!!

  • no way,,, no need it a tallest building in miami,,, what for,,, no way,,, no need it,,, i dont like it,,, reason on the lists,,, 1 - bad storm hurricanos / tornados 2 - too many cubans / immigrations 3 - waste waste green paper currencys 4 - problem with crimes
  • Comment removed

  • @bestamerica ahahahahah

  • @bestamerica 1- Because I am cuban VETE PA LA PINGA COME MIERDA! 2- We (the cubans) are not immigrats THE IMMIGRANTS ARE THE AMERICANS because NONE WANTED FLORIDA CUZ IT WAS A SWAMP. During the Cubans Revolution we MADE MIAMI... IDIOT!!!! Then the rest of the world began to COME. 3- By mine and my brothers' Cuban balls THEY WONT DESTROY THE Miami Outboard Club. Vallanse pa la pinga GRINGOS DE MIERDA!!! MIAMI PARA LOS LATINOS!!!!! PARA MIS HERMANOS LATINOS DE TODA LATINOAMERICA!!!

  • walkintothefuture,

    '

    okay thank explain

  • i think its pretty cool, Sqare building are so yesterday. This is kicking it up a noch. Maybe NY will get up off their ass now and build more futuristic buildings.

  • I dont think the city of Miami will approve this, its too expensive and in my opinion its kind of weird looking. I live in Miami and love to have the tallest building on earth but I dont see it happening and besides I probably be a bit scared every time I have to fly back to Miami.

  • Welcome to Salsapolis, the world's capital of salsa and cha-cha-cha....

  • WTF In that third world ghetto town? Lots of luck, LOL Even the main hospital, Jackson Memorial, is in danger of dying because the majority of Miami's population is Medicaid immigrunts who cant'/don't pay for anything. F-ing hell hole.

  • @JMaldonado64 WHAT beauty? The Burj Khaifa is thin, empty, ugly, and partially functional from what I have heard... not to mention it was a colossal waste of money for a city whose economy went bust and never recovered. And the upper half of that tower is nothing but an oversized spire, in a sense.

  • @Nonamearisto never mind. I like the Burj, but that's just a question of personnal taste. I really hope this Miapolis gets built in reality... I really hope we could go back to that exciting times when man wanted to conquer the heights without worrying about terrorism, evil, selfishness, and so many ugly things existing today. I really hope a new southern New York arises in these coming years.

  • Fuck Dubei ! USA is the best !

  • good

  • Why didn't anybody think of this before?

Obama: "The economy's failing. What do we do?"

    Advisor: "I don't know. Let's build a big f--ing skyscraper."

  • lmao!

  • Build it! This building will be great for the already booming floridian populace and economy!

  • i really want to see this thing build. but it will probably end up like the chicago spire, "construction suspended", it wont be started until the economy is better.

  • Let's build this thing! Too bad an idea is only as strong as the weakest link in the support chain.

  • looks cool. i hope it gets built but it seems like all the 1500 + foot tall buildings are going on hold. i also like how its not really in the skyline, since it would kind of ruin it, but by itself it looks cool

  • if it will be excellent for the economy of united states but don't make that instead of spending money making that building you should make schools and houses for the survivors of the earthquake in haiti. I assure them that it will generated more employments and it will be very grateful and it wouldnt cost as much as the building because all the companies would work together is not about cancel the construction of miapolis is just postpone it. Thas my opinion.

  • Even though it sounds selfish and unhuman but you know thats not going to happend at all. Haiti being a different country is not really in the USA economic plan. In matter of politics and economy you should trust less in human hearts and more in their pockets. Being in this economical situation nobody cares about making employments in places they won't get any incomes from.

Being altruist is not what makes a powerfull country anymore.

And I'm not being nationalist, I'm mexican. I't obvious.

  • Is this really going to happen?

  • @Kehnnady Doubtfull it doesn't even have an emporis entry and it's been "proposed" for a year.

  • For those who don't know read the plans and it clearly says the building is storm proof..What an amazing building for the American skyline =) New World Trade Center,Chicago Spire,Miapolis wow!! ''I luv my country GO U.S.A!!!!

  • @ElectronMotion Ummm. let's see; NONE of those things have been built yet....

  • @1DanielChristensen I don't understand what do you mean by ''things''???? I just hope the building gets built ...I know the all the plans are still on paper .. I live in Miami and at least Miapolis is under review by my city...

  • All those buildings you mentioned; none of them have been built yet; et you act like you're so proud of them; the Chicago spire got abandoned so it's half built and unfinished.

  • @1DanielChristensen I'm proud of my country not the buildings..Chicago Spire is not abandoned it's on hold till the end of the year get your story right and the new World Trade Center is under construction also, ill be done soon..Why are you hating on my country??? HELLO!!! your talking about America .....Miapolis is under review in Miami and it looks like it will become a reality it all depends on miami dade county court,,,,so go hate somewhere else

  • I grew up in Miami, and I would just love to see this become reality there! It might give me a reason to go back to my hometown for good!

  • This won't happen!

  • Not to double post or anything, but did they loss interest in making a tall building in new york, btw heres an idea, likes make this 4000+ building, and do something no else had ever done and build it in hawaii, odds of the volcano eruption are what a million to one, and hurricanes only every 20 some years? lol

  • Anyone else here think this is a stupid idea? Your building something where normally hurricanes, those one people that built it in the middle of no where was stupid to, but at least its not its not in a place where it can get blown away or sink or whatever. To me that ranks up there with holding the Olympics in new Orleans during hurricane seasons, its just not a good idea. Tall buildings are fine in new york, and Chicago, but Miami?

  • Will not be surprised, to see this building in Dubai. Saudi Arab and other Asia countries becoming the epicenter of the world. Would be nice to see a major product in the USA in the 21centery. Since Freedom tower was only a dream.

  • I think all the money in the world should go to building a giant lubed up dildo the size of a mountain which every ten years spews cum over everyone. The cum will be deposited by billions of people masturbating into cups which link to the King Dildo.

The King Dildo will generate trillions of new jobs and ten dollars in revenue. Also, every friday there is a free snack.

  • You're a psycho. Police will investigate you.

  • Comment removed

  • This will be built on an artifical island? lol lol

This will be built in a hurricane alley? lol lol

This will be built in an earthquake zone? lol lol

    Good luck at construction..lol.

  • Miami is not an earthquake zone..

  • If you spend enough money, you could build it, but being a profitable investment, for most, I doubt it. Might see it in Asia some year. Will never happen here. The US can't even rebuild WTC, or build the Chicago Spire.

This would be a nice Keynesian stimulus project for the taxpayers, since making a profit is secondary to employing 45, 000 union members and government cronies during our current economic malaise.

  • Yes, this is what we need to do. Tens of thousands of jobs, funded by private enterprise, not TAXpayers. I'm all for this.

  • I like the shots that use Chicago's skyline!

  • lol

  • It looks like the tin man's penis.

  • looks like the tower from lord of the rings with the eye. miami doesn't have hard soil to support this kinda tower and with the storms even if they build if someone buys it, what wld be the insurance costs...hummmm

  • This will never happen.

First, the Florida housing economy is still in the toilet.

Second, putting a massive building in Hurricane Alley, GREAT IDEA!!

Third, The land couldnever support such a massive building because most of those islands are made of sand or are man made as a result of dredging.

Either way its a bad idea and I doubt it will ever happen.

  • @aldernagon3, every point you have made is true, and because of this it will never happen.

  • @Dalagastia

    yep

  • Anyone else think that this looks hideous, not to mention wasteful?

  • With a building like this it will take many years to complete. The major hurricane danger will during the construction phase. Once it is done it should be about as "hurricane proof" as a building can get but a major storm during the construction phase would cause real problems.

  • its a badass idea i hope this building gets built but why miami? hurricanes occur in miami if they didnt know and i know miami is a nice lookin place but probably not the best location for a 3000+ ft building maybe somewhere else warm

  • it will be a challenge to protect it from hurricanes

  • its obviously going to be design to sustane hurricanes dumbasses!! why even question? if itll collapse

  • i bet its going to get hit by a hurricane right after there are done building it

  • yeah thats what i was thinking about too:)

  • Just gorgeous!!! is about time America builds the tallest building in the world..Miami deserves a building like this and so does the U.S.A...Self sufficient n green building plus huricance proof will bring thousands of jobs n billions to our economy!!! GO MIAMI!! GO AMERICA!!! ''MIAPOLIS'' luv it......

  • Is funny how many people like to trash Miami, but live here, Miami has beautiful climate year around, home to the most properous hispanics in the US, but you like hispanics that only do yard work then is not for you, I hope this project will be a reality, we have the beaches, beautiful people, climate, Go Miami !!!

  • well i think the biggest culture right now in miami is cuban and i don't think people from around the world cares about it

  • If you like this idea, then dig beyond the mirage. Look at the numbers. Give yourself a reality check. Because when you dig, you'll realize that the numbers are not grounded in ANY facts or any sense of reality.

Besides, Miami residents, this THING will be the PERFECT target for terrorism. Do we really want that in Miami? Hell NO!

  • As soon as I heard 3000 feet I said hell no. When the terrorists hear of this they will say ef new york and dc

  • That's the idea stupid, to divert terrorism from New York and Washington so they kill cubans instead of americans ha ha ha

  • lol

  • lmao!

  • I think this a great idea and just because its better than any toher bulding out there you dont have to hate and go fuck yourself miami haters if you were not born in miami dont hate

  • fadimo, tell me: What do you know about MIami? Do you know how our economy works? Do you know about the international tourism industry? Do you deal with facts? Or do you just like this project because it looks cool?

  • It's a big penis. And a really, really stupid idea.

  • why

  • Why is it a stupid idea? Because, hmm, do a little research on sea level rise. Do a little research on trends in tourism. The tourists who care about the environment will avoid this monstrosity like the plague. They say it will bring jobs. What kind of jobs? Temporary construction jobs? Low paying jobs at chain stores, where the $ flows OUT of Miami and doesn't stay in? I love Miami. I live in Miami. So don't call me a Miami hater. It's because I love Miami that I hate this project.

  • that was one of the things that we dicuse in my e-comerce class about the melting of the ice in north pole and the sea rising but it would be cool to have something that represents miami in the world

  • Hi Luis -- we have so much more we can represent to the world. Did you know that the tourists who stay the longest and spend the most money are cultural heritage tourists? Yes. And what does this huge tower have to do with cultural heritage? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. From a purely business and marketing perspective, this project makes no sense. It's smoke and mirrors.

  • these are all big, reportable companies backing it, let's hope this is not just another student's presentation.

  • This is insane. It's the type if insanity that pervades Miami. It's the kind of delusion that the residents of that town share. I was born and raised in this city and it's basically a pretty mirage that is superficial and rotten on the inside. This will never happen in Miami becuase like the city, this is just an illusion.

  • No wonder that Miami got recently was rated in a national poll as #1 for beautiful people and something like #30 for intelligence. I know we have intelligent people here, but they're not the ones representing the city with stupid designs like this one.

  • It would be great if it actually ever gets built... all you Miami-haters jump off!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! What a JOKE..

  • Buzz words galore in that video.

  • Anyone else reminded of Wall-E watching this? Isn't this the kind of stuff that happens before we destroy ourselves?
