Comparing this classic of Batman to The Dark Knight, having a right-hand man, like Bob, shows that Joker is more stronger and more powerful, then just some more mentally psychotic criminal clown like Heath Ledger's version of Joker. And knowing at that part, at the beginning of Batman, when Jack Napier was threatened by the lieutenant at gun point, Bob came right behind Jack and was ready to shoot in case the lieutenant was to shoot him. No one would do that for Heath Ledger's insecure Joker.
I'd like to see them Joker's Men jackets come back. I remember seeing that exact Joker Patch that was on those jackets in the movie. Saw them sold at Hot Topics a long time ago. But For the last several years, I haven't seen them anywhere. Not even flea markets, or any comic book stores.
I read in an action card once that Bob indeed fought Batman and Bob wound up cracking his head on a nearby wall so I guess that would have killed him off and they probably wanted to keep in longer so in the version we saw when Bob pulled the knife and Batman was like, "Come on." Bob dropped it and ran he knew he would have gotten his ass kicked and he knew he had to protect his friend/boss.
I see they had a scene that looked like they intended to have Bob fight Batman. I would've liked to see that. I wonder how he would've fared. I think he would've ultimately lost against Batman, but unlike the Joker in this movie, he would've put up more of a fight.
Hell yeah I loved Bob! Every other henchman in the franchise was shit compared to him. Joker trusted him enough even for his more personal interests (spying on Vicki) instead of these one dimensional extras that get killed off by Batman.
He should of been Joe Chill then him and Jack Napier could of killed Batmans parents.
