I no this is a little late but man this video hit home real hard.. I am 32 yrs old and had a black and brown palm. He was 11yrs old and never had any health issues. The last 4mnths he was here I noticed he wasnt eating as much and it jus kept gettin worse.. Then the day came I had to carry him into the vet to have him put down. I must say brother it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do to this day. I hope your doing ok..GODSPEED

Truly sorry about your little Bruno, your little buddy. Dogs are the most loving unselfish beings on this planet and I know the total hell of losing one that is so close and such an everyday total friend. You will never replace Bruno but after you have time to heal maybe you can think about getting another little buddy to love. Thank you for your videos.

Wow Pete, I'm not one to shed a tear very often but that video got me good, I'm short on words. Me and my family just lost a little brown dog his name was/Is Dudley, he was my little brown dog." It hurts", but we still wake up in the morning and go to work and hit life head on. My condolence from me and my family to your family!!

In some ways im similar to you .clawing out a living ,a little rough around the edges . people think nothing bothers him!!. went through same thing with my 15 yr old pal Mulder (shepard lab) he was a stray i think somone dumped him on my road . ended up being best dog i ever had .Been 6 months still think about him all the time but you got to keep going. we hold in so much .but that cant be held in !! all the best to you and yours

I learned that the hardest thing about being a father, is being the one to make the tough calls. I've had to say goodbye to 3 little friends, each one harder then the next. My girls crying so bad..., I swore never to replace them, but I always do. The good times always outweigh the bad. Peace to You and Minnie. Miss you Bruno!

My heart goes out to you and Minnie over the loss of Bruno. My dog also succumbed to cancer. I took care of her the best I could until it was time. She had a seriously bad previous life until I got her from a rescue shelter. I made sure the last 4 years of her life were as good as she deserved. The day I put her down was the hardest day I ever had to face. My wife said what I should take away was not the sadness but the good times I gave that dog and that Roxie gave me. God Bless!

really sad, this is what i hate about getting so close to animals.. cause you know one day they wont be with you anymore i mean sucks that they have such short lives.. you get so attached to them its extremely hard when they have to go... just like losing a family member or friend

I understand your loss of your best friend, and I know MrBlueroads lost his best friend Charlotte. I lost my best friend (Charlie) because my ex took him away from me and I never saw him again. Now he is in heaven. I'm sure he always wondered what happened to me, and what she did wasn't fare to me or him.

My little pal Sasha passed away at 16 years old. She was like a daughter to me. Yeah, people said she was just a dog, but she was my dog and a true member of the family. Bruno will be missed. Take it easy Bruno.
I'm so sorry pete , I feel your pain immensely your right the bond between man and his best friend is something that cant be matched. They are loyal they do comfort you when your down they are at the centre of every fun and happy moment and most of all they dont argue with you. RIP bruno you will be missed immensely.

pete you should make a little statue of bruno similar to the bulldog hood ornimant on the mack trucks clear a special spot on your desk and put it there just a suggestion i was tearing up watching this and i dont ever shed a tear for anything but bruno maybe gone physically but not in spirit

Damn this was hard to watch man. So sorry to hear this Pete. We all loved him too and will miss him. It's hard as hell. I went through this when I was 14 with my first dog ever a German Shepard that my parents got when I was a baby. I had to hold her while they gave her the shot and that is something I will never forget as long as I live. Just know he is still there in spirit and loves you just as much as you love him.

Pete you could not have said it better. My wife and I have a beagle named Sammy who is about the same age. He is truly my little buddy and lately I to have had the same thoughts of how I am going to deal with it when something happens to him. Your words are true. I know EXACTLY how you feel Pete. I went through this a little over a year ago with my best little buddy Ren, the friendliest little Chihuahua I have ever seen. I am still not over it, and I know I never will be. That sick, hollow, empty feeling that gets in your gut and won't leave still comes and goes. I'm tearing up now just thinking of it.
From watching your videos, it's apparent that Bruno was a special little guy. Try to think of all the smiles he put on people's faces.
Hang in there Pete! We went through the same thing in November with our 13 year old German Shepherd Sting. One day we went for our usual walk and the next day he lost the use of his back paws and could not stand up. Later at the vet they found that he also had heart and liver problems. We had to put him to sleep that day. We cried for a month. R.I.P Bruno and Sting.
Sorry for the terrible news Pete, life won't ever be the same without the little guy I'm sure, it sounds like he brought lots of goodness to your hectic life, I lost my girlfriend of 10 years last summer, she was only 39, was really hard, but it kind of gets a little easier with some time though, gotta keep moving forward though, life has to go on, he'll live on in video and memory and pics forever though. R.I.P Bruno, well all miss him!

I told you a while ago I had a 10 year old pomeranian that gave out one night. On the 1st of this month, I had to put down my 6 year old ferret. In late '09,
@Trendyrapslut my 16 year old cat and best friend died from FIV. BIG piece of my childhood gone. I grew up around this cat. I have a tribute video of him on my channel.
in '08, we had a very affectionate white cat that had to be put down because of lung trouble that was killing him rapidly that came out of the blue. The year before, we had this cat that acted like his mother....lung cancer. Those 2 were very close. And when I was in middle school, we had a 14 year himalayan that died overnight.
Pete You hang in there Bud. Bruno was an awesome little guy and he will never be gone from your memory. Not much I can say to make you feel better. Time will help the pain. Things will get easier for you. We all have been there.

I am terribly sorry for your loss Pete and Minnie. I know what the feeling is like. The dog that I had while growing up was an English Setter. The most energetic, fun loving, all around happy dog you'd ever know. My parents got her when I was about 1 or 2 years old. She died in May of 2009. Shortly after I had had my 18th birthday. 17 years. 17 years of pure love a devotion. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through. She struggled that final year. But she was a fighter.
I really do hate that you guys lost Bruno. My thoughts and prayers go out to you I know what it is like to loose a special little friend, they are just as much family as your own children/ wife/ mom/ dad/ brothers/ sisters. Just keep on doing what you do and take it easy.

Hey Pete I'm sorry for your loss. There's nothing harder then loosing a member of the family. You got it right when you said that he's still with you. He will always be in your heart. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

Dogs are the most loving unselfish beings on this planet and I know the total hell of losing one that is so close and such an everyday total friend. I learned that the hardest thing about being a father, is being the one to make the tough calls. I've had to say goodbye to 3 little friends, each one harder then the next. My heart goes out to you and Minnie over the loss of Bruno. My dog also succumbed to cancer. I took care of her the best I could until it was time. She had a seriously bad previous life until I got her from a rescue shelter. I made sure the last 4 years of her life were as good as she deserved. The day I put her down was the hardest day I ever had to face. My wife said what I should take away was not the sadness but the good times I gave that dog and that Roxie gave me. God Bless!

I understand your loss of your best friend, and I know MrBlueroads lost his best friend Charlotte. I lost my best friend (Charlie) because my ex took him away from me and I never saw him again. Now he is in heaven. I'm sure he always wondered what happened to me, and what she did wasn't fare to me or him.

My little pal Sasha passed away at 16 years old. She was like a daughter to me. Yeah, people said she was just a dog, but she was my dog and a true member of the family. Bruno will be missed. Take it easy Bruno.

I'm so sorry this happend to you guys, especially you Pete. It takes a real person with a lot of guts to get infront of the world and show such strong emotions.
This was one of the hardest videos for me to watch in a long time, I to had to make this choice for my childhood dog, we grew up together, she was like a sister to me.

I feel your pain, Pete. I also have lost several little bubbies in the past and it's always difficult and I've said I'll never get another because it's too painful to lose your best friend. Damn this was hard to watch man. So sorry to hear this Pete. We all loved him too and will miss him. It's hard as hell. I went through this when I was 14 with my first dog ever a German Shepard that my parents got when I was a baby. I had to hold her while they gave her the shot and that is something I will never forget as long as I live. Just know he is still there in spirit and loves you just as much as you love him.

He is truly my little buddy and lately I to have had the same thoughts of how I am going to deal with it when something happens to him. Your words are true. I know EXACTLY how you feel Pete. I went through this a little over a year ago with my best little buddy Ren, the friendliest little Chihuahua I have ever seen. I am still not over it, and I know I never will be. That sick, hollow, empty feeling that gets in your gut and won't leave still comes and goes. I'm tearing up now just thinking of it.
From watching your videos, it's apparent that Bruno was a special little guy. Try to think of all the smiles he put on people's faces.

Hang in there Pete! We went through the same thing in November with our 13 year old German Shepherd Sting. One day we went for our usual walk and the next day he lost the use of his back paws and could not stand up. Later at the vet they found that he also had heart and liver problems. We had to put him to sleep that day. We cried for a month. R.I.P Bruno and Sting.

in '08, we had a very affectionate white cat that had to be put down because of lung trouble that was killing him rapidly that came out of the blue. The year before, we had this cat that acted like his mother....lung cancer. Those 2 were very close. And when I was in middle school, we had a 14 year himalayan that died overnight.

I am terribly sorry for your loss Pete and Minnie. I know what the feeling is like. The dog that I had while growing up was an English Setter. The most energetic, fun loving, all around happy dog you'd ever know. My parents got her when I was about 1 or 2 years old. She died in May of 2009. Shortly after I had had my 18th birthday. 17 years. 17 years of pure love a devotion. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through. She struggled that final year. But she was a fighter.

Sorry for your loss . I only started watching your videos and other's like them a couple weeks ago when I started my own restoration . Your informative lessons on work and straight forward teachings of life I immediately became a fan and Bruno undoubtedly a star won my affection . Pete and Bruno are the best on YouTube. Hey Pete I'm sorry for your loss. There's nothing harder then loosing a member of the family. You got it right when you said that he's still with you. He will always be in your heart. I lost my best friend a few years ago, he was a black lab, german shepard mix. He was 17 years old and I had to put him down. It will get better and the pain subsides but your love for Bruno will live on. Hang in there bro.

Sorry about your loss Pete, I'm sure gonna miss Bruno. i cried too when I watched your vid, such a great dog & so loyal to you & minnie. My family & I send our condolences to you & Minnie & our hearts go out to you guys. I'm shocked & saddened about Bruno leaving us all so soon. Last week, my mom's friend's dog named princess, passed away in her sleep. Shit I'm still grieving over the loss because I knew princess for years. I also miss my guinea pig Pumba.

so sorry to hear about bruno, man, you're a great guy with a big heart and i know this has to be tough...i always loved seein' bruno in your vids, he was a great lil' pooch...i experienced a major loss just a few months ago, too, so i know the kind of pain you're in...it will ease over time, but it'll never be easy, if you know what i mean...stay strong!
