I think the average user does many of those same tasks with a slicker interface and an internet connection these days. The message board has become a whole array of social networking sites. Any decent maps site can find just about any brick and mortar location you can think of. The games offer the same old escapism with a greatly increased pixel count. Heh. You know your getting old when no one else remembers the modem sound.

Oh well I applied for a job recently after my company shut down.after 9 years.On my Resume.I still had the technical references of NT and 98SE.I work in the IT and I even got the old wap development skills that are now obsolete.I totally forgot the remove them and just added the current job references on top.The IT rep who rang me up was giggling when he called me.We ended up discussing things from the 90s when we were in college.I promised to send a resume per post with a floppy disk.
