@Applemask - sounds like "dead out" to me. Of course I'm Canadian. XD But "oat" here, like oatmeal, would be pronounced like someone saying "oh?" with a T ending. "Oh-ttt" - isn't that how you pronounce oat? How do you pronounce "out" btw? :)
@Applemask - and yup...I recall watching Smokey on TV when I was little. I even got to see a Smokey the bear statue at one of the National Parks in BC.
