Usually when a cover is done, specifically on a song where the original has such emotional intensity, the emotions that the song is supposed to convey get lost in translation. Especially when you're taking a song from one instrument, and thus approach, into a completely different one. This is one of the handful of covers I've ever seen that successfully managed to reinterpret a masterpiece of a song and still retain all the emotional impact. I cannot give enough props on this one.

I use a TC Electric Konnekt 8 audio interface. That's part of how I get such a clean audio signal. I also use a Sure SM 58 mic. The software I use is Logic Pro for mac. I equalize my tracks with it and can cancel out noisy frequencies. If you're looking to get into it, I recommend the m-box because it comes with Pro Tools (great software). It runs about $300 but it's quality. Hope that helps.
In my opinion: A flawless cover. Very, very well done. I indeed watched the entire eight minutes w/o having to open a new tab and divert my attention. I envy your musical equipment... just a little addendum... keep 'em coming.
