I got My skyline to 300+MPH. You need to get out of the banking turn going at least 230mph then draft on the straight with 3 cars in front of you. Draft one, pass, draft the next, pass, by the end of the straight you'll be going 300+. You ned to let the cars in front have an even greater head start so they can spread out giving you better drafting space.

I like to modified cars on GT1 too :)

The people who said that you are a bad driver and that skyline sucks don't are really fans of Gran Turismo :D

btw the best car in GT1 is TVR CERBERA LM EDITION (in green :p), have a incredible handling and is very powerfull too (don't have muuuuch hp, but is very light...)

can someone tell me is this bad start fixable, i ask becos my subaru starts so slooooow, and if i get stoped in the middle of the race in a tiny rise (uphill) i cant star driving again, moment of force seems to be to low

Manually modified Supra RZ is faster than Skyline r33 gtr. It is lighter and it has about 930hp comparing to Nissan's ~ 945hp. I can't remember exact numbers, but i think supra is about 200kg lighter.

i used to have this game, the best gran trismo made. ok the graphics are shocking but i loved it hen you can make any car a race car, i had a RUF (the porsche league) and idid that and i was well cool. i used the escudo pikes peak for that track! but my game got snapped, might get another one..

lol the turbo on that is rubbish only kicks in at about 6000rpm but still mighty fast. i beat ya tho (but on GT2). took a long time but i managed 472kph in a TVR Speed 12 no cheats!

If there's one thing I really wish the developers would bring back, it'd be the racing model feature. I really loved driving a cool-looking Camaro.

LOL that aint true!!!!!! reson he crashed was becasue he was letting the other cars drive from him so he GETS CATCH UP(when you drive right behind a another car you get a major speed boost). thats why you couldnt get 284 mph at the other laps. so i would say that the GTO MR and the supra rz is a lot better.

Of course I used the car in front of me, there is nothing new, read all the comments.

The point is that with changes in the ser up you can reach that speed. With other set up the gear ratio wont be able to go so fast.

This is not a trick. Simply set up the car, and use the suction of the car in front of you to impulse yours.
