What a fantastic slice of awesome.

I like ALL Sirenia! They do a great job of making the songs mostly about the melody and vocals, and mostly use the screaming rarely and only to enhance the song. But I really like how they're aiming away from the screaming now. The gods know how many cliche metal bands use senseless, unmelodious screaming! One less is one better! I'll always love this band! Rock on Sirienia!

@ThePaganSun If you want screaming go look up Psyclon nine, this here is not screaming, let me ask you. during times you listen to this "Scream" Can you make out what is said? if yes, then NO, it is not screaming(growling-grunting) just as with Theater of Tragedy did and Tristania. hell, Draconian still does the growls...and it doesn't mean they're in a "cliche" as you called it. bands have paths, choices and do as they well =)enjoy what you will

@fateswolves Ummm...I think you need to look at my comment again because I clearly stated that THIS song was NOT screaming and that I love Sirenia. SOME of their songs however DO have screaming (like many of the songs in their Elixir for Existence album though it's clearly not as much as the more death metal bands. And my being able to make their words has nothing to do with my distaste of screaming because it's still SCREAMING. Grunting and growls are just that. I don't bother with death metal.

@AntipaladinPedigri would this be a bad thing then base on this shuddered thingy? haha, I know in their side project Shadowgarden, offer little growls, I also can share, that some people that learn how to do the growls will take breaks for fear of ruining their ablility. it's kind of like with karate "chi" you bring it from within, with these growls it's not from the throat but the stomach

@fateswolves Wow, thanks. I didn't know they have a side project. Sure, diversity is great but I would severly miss Jacobssen's growls as they are one of my favourite. I miss grunts in Sirenia's new songs but I can at least listen to his side project Mortemia. As for growls, I've read and watched videos about it, so I know what you're talking about. I wish I could learn to growl properly though.

@AntipaladinPedigri you're welcome, and thank you, for not being like some of the other's I've encountered up here -shakes head- growling like that would be fun to do normally, I sometimes will try to say Ares(have a kitten named that) and i some what do something of a growl but very very short and not safe to do often haha might even be more of a groaning with a lil growl

wow I love this song, I think it is my favourite from Sirenia.  I love the her soft voice, the male vocals are great and work well for this song. The lyrics are well written and growling as well. What more could you ask for in a song?
