It wasn't only the intervention of what you call 'disgrace and dispicable race', there was a whole world who builded up their armies, made alliances, made propaganda and spread nationalism, because of money and fear to other powers.
You cannot talk about weltpolitik without the two powers standard, or about the balcanic crisis without taking in count the first and the second moroccan crisis.

That guy at 1:38, I once read he was killed during the last week of the war. He was german too, but looks like he could be anyones brother. In fact put some modern clothes on him and he looks no different than anyone on the street.
I used to interview from that war. I spoke with people from just about every country involved. One thing that rang true through them all was how savage and wasteful, and useless war is. Not one of the dozens i spoke with felt the experience was a good or glorious one.
Although it was a good show, propoganda is completely one sided, in other words showing your own allies dead in mass numbers is actually promoting fear :o

RIP great Uncle Abraham Gombiner you fought for Poland and may you never be forgotten. He died I believe in 1916 or 1917 we may never know the great war took him
....so sad.....perfect for my world history project but i wish the world wars never happened. Why cant the world get along? it makes me want to cry seeing all those men dead and the graveyards devoted to the dead of ww1 and 2
dont forget korea, vietnam, the ballcins war, des storm, and operation iraqie freedom. war is horrible and it is evil, but it is a neccessary evil. as sad as it may seem.
I think that the point is about propaganda, a commercial that would try to recruit men to fight in the war. This shows the reality of war. Very good video!
