@MrTrueNotes Some reverb on a kick drum gives the sound "space" ( listen to some Kraftwerk tracks which use it. ) I do not consider it out of place on this ambient / IDM style track.
@rolilla Nope, all hardware! The tenori sends each layer out on it's own midi channel, so you've gotta set the Tetr4 to receive a voice on each of the first 4 channels. I forget what I actually did, but wasn't too hard to figure out!
@tubeampguy It is possible. ;-) Can you tell them apart? (Distinguishing markings?) Now I'm greatly looking forward to the imminent release of the NEXT Dave Smith (and Roger Linn) masterpiece, the Tempest! See my "predicting a Tempest" videos, and stay tuned for a test drive of the real thing as soon as possible.
@echodolo1980 I bet that there is a way, honestly I'm no expert yet with all of the features of the Tetr4, and there are a LOT ;-) It's probably the best value for $ I've ever seen in an analogue synth
@Rolz73 these are the units for sale in the (LA Area) showroom, after all. ;-) One of the few places in the USA where you can actually TRY a Tenori-On before buying it? Not to mention a huge variety of rare analog synths and boutique guitar effects.
Each of it's 16 layers natively send to MIDI channels 1-16, so (with plenty of cables and perhaps a MIDI splitter) YES you could! It's intuitively logical
why r u putting reverb on your bass kick? ur killing it

hmmm. you lose the use of the assignable knobs in multi mode? is there a work around to this? would be fantastic if there was.

I like the price tagging of the units. Good information without having to explain it in text.

Can different "layers" be assigned to different MIDI channels? I'd buy a Tenori-On if I could control all of my gear with it at once.

And of course, buy from NoiseBug. ;-)

Nice pairing of Tenori-on and Tetra! The two make a fantastically portable setup. Thanks for the outstanding demo!
