EXCELLENT! vedder has this uncanny ability to eloquently describe basic human emotion, capture it on paper, and savagely inflict it upon our unsuspecting ears. the pain, disguised behind aversion and disdain seems to reach out and grab you. vedders relationship with his father was non existent, as a result he developed contempt towards his step father. i think betterman and rearviewmirror share a direct correlation in describing vedders dismal disposition towards his abusive relationships.
