Why bother with 2 switchs just wire it to the light so it is only on when someone is in there.

@NOLIMIT69NOLIMIT2000 If ,lets say,someone does a smelly #2 you can shut the light off and when the timer runs out on 2nd switch on fan automatically shuts off, instead of leaving light and fan on together.+++Bob

I have a hip roof, so it's a tight space in the attic.

exterior wall is concrete block.

Roof is barrel tile.

Would have like a reference to one or more manufacturers/sources for the product.

About midway thru, when showing the vent mounted to stud, it looked like the bracket was mounted upside down. The screw was resting against the big opening hole, instead of in its slot.

As ever, thanks for the good ideas.

the bracket has a knock going in either direction from the large hole.... its universal like that.
