The only note I would add is that the gloves are not recommnded to wear when operating the rotating equipment. The reason is if the glove is pulled by the rotating disc it may pull in whole arm
Yeah, I figured that. I was cleaning out my grandparents basement when I came across the disc. It was the special shape of abrasive wheel for an older grinder, and I didn't think about age. Thanks
All abrasive MFG's have proper storage and shelf life of there products. Temp and humidity of storage area is crucial to disc life. I would NEVER use a disc that old. Not only due you have think if the discs have been properly store, but also the materials used and newer standards for safety and performance. Get some new discs, it's a whole lot cheaper than a trip to the ER or the Undertaker!
Hey I had a quick question. Earlier today I was using one of my bench grinders when the abrasive wheel broke in two and shattered missing my head by inches. The wheel was about 20-30 years old so was my accident human error or disk age?
Thanks! The world needs a lot more plain and to the point safety videos like this. Nice job using the handgun at the beginning to get our attention. (But if you were drunk and angry at me, I'd rather have you try to throw a corded grinder at me, than use that gun for what it's designed to do!)
This is a great video! How many safety videos have a Sig-Sauer pistol in the mix? Good advice, too. A grinder accident can ruin your (or a co-worker's) day...

@Drummer17Dude1 Thanks. I learned it the hard way, and have scars and hearing loss to prove it.

Totally love the southern accent and power tool comparison to a gun.

Handle is not required. It can get in the way of lots of tight work spaces.

i only use a safty handle when the boss is on site. it gets in the way for the jobs i do with it.
