This ad was probably telecast around 1958, when Ed McMahon was first getting noticed as Johnny Carson's announcer/sidekick on his ABC daytime quiz/game show, "WHO DO YOU TRUST?". And sponsors and ad agencies were also noticing Ed. That led to more commercials...and after Ed followed Johnny to "THE TONIGHT SHOW" in 1962, the "top dollar" advertisers, like Citgo and Budweiser, wanted Ed's services as well...
