One of a massive nine wickets he took in five tests while Damien Fleming - born to bowl in England - sat in the pavilion. And it wasn't even out. Overrated.
@spookavision Oh dont get me started man, Fleming was fucked over HUGELY that series, he was indeed born to bowl in England, while Lee bowled like shit for 5 tests and had full support from Steve Waugh. I seem to recall Fleming getting 10 wickets in one tour match, yet still didnt get picked for a test match.
@robelinda2 Add that to Hodge and they wonder why Vics think they get a raw deal? (Now, how soon can you upload Michael Clarke's 329 for those of us who had to work? :))
@robelinda2 mate i know you get told this a lot but you are a legend for uploading all these cricket vids. i discovered your channel a couple of days ago and have watched most of your vids. Brings back many good memories. I love the footage of the Windies in the 80's. i was a little too young to appreciate how good guys like Viv Richards, holding, Garner actually were.
Have you uploaded the Shane warne footage funk192 asks about in the comments below?
I don't know if you have but it would be great if you could upload a Shane Warne build up to getting a wicket just like you do in this video and many others. All you see on youtube of Warne is just his wickets. Any would do, i'll leave it for you to decide what one(s) because you're the master of this lol
The team lineup at the start of the video makes me cringe at the averageness of our old team. Thank god we have a strong outfit now that can take on anyone.
England is a very multi cultural country with a lot of foreign born citizens. Why can't we use them to our advantage? Why do we have to put up with the negatives, yet when they do some good for England, it's brushed off because theyre not english. All top class countries have foreign borns in sport teams. Jonah Lomu was Tongan for fuck sake! Plus Aussies are actually English anyway! I wish i could write more! dont know where youre from, but youre sour that Eng is now no. 1!!
Haha mate there's a difference between bringing through players who are English but from different cultures like Monty Panesar etc and then essentially buying/doing dodgy business to bring in players from other countries when they're already promising developing cricketers who only moved to England to get into the national team. Half your team wouldn't even know the national anthem for christs sake. But well done, you've gelled together a marvelous team and they deserve number one.
It makes me wonder a bit about the speed guns they use nowadays. I've seen people like Saj Mahmood and Stuart Broad registered in the upper 80s MPH, but it's clear that they are not bowling anywhere near as fast as Lee is here (also in that very fast spell that Donald bowled against Atherton the speed gun 'only' registered about 89.6, to a bouncer that almost decapitates the batsman).
@jstreete not terrible, pitched outside leg but just missing off and was just going over as well, at that speed the ball doesnt have as far to travel so theres a chance it could have clipped the stumps, probably should have got the benefit of the doubt though.
Shit that was a quick upload, my hat goes off to you. I thought the ball just clipped his finger, but it hit him flush on the hand. His face said it all.
Good bowling but Thorpe was wrongly given out.

@jstreete What do you mean . . . plum!
I am australian! :P Pretty tough LBW decision bowling round the wicket with no inswing. Must have been in the umpires "blind spot."

@jstreete I am pleased you mentioned that, I thought I was going mad for a minute when I saw it pitch outside leg stump.

It makes you think if Brett Lee can bowl around the 90 MPH mark consistently what does he actually do different to bowl up to 100 MPH instead?
