  • Hi I just spent a good $100 on your 1500 series at Fry's I am in sales and have sold a number of them too what can you do about this? The device is no not recognized, drivers installed as well. It took 3 weeks for them to stop working. I am VERY mad about this product.

  • the long pauses make this video awkward, need quicker cuts.

  • @WhackCheese True story!

  • How about an actual review? Hows the bass, hows the highs and mids?

The HS1 and HS1A have little to no bass and is purely for dialogue or games without explosions.

  • @mupp33n It's an unboxing, he just said its an unboxing as well as a preview, nothing about a review.

  • @mupp33n

What? Turn your bass boost up in the windows playback devices menu.

  • @Seleuicid You're an idiot. First of all, I dont use shitty Windows(realtek) nor do I buy terrible "Gaming" headsets or products. Secondly, I use proper soundcards like Xonar, coupled with proper headphones like Sennheiser. Now, go back to Shelbyville where you belong.

  • @Seleuicid Oh forgot, you should never even touch an Equalizer, why? You then listen to the music or movie in a way which the artist or director did NOT design or intend. PLus raising bass (the lows) will make the mids suffer, the highs turn muffled, voices etc turn darker.

  • @mupp33n Don't explain to me your "gamer fanboy theory" something you fail to note is that the artist and director do not have the same audio systems as you do, the true way to listen to what they intended is through their exact audio device, be it the headset they used, or the surround sound system they used. EVERY sound system is different. stating that the corsair headset ha "no bass" makes you the idiot good sir. You clearly have not listened to the HS1's, your opinion is entirely invalid.

  • @Seleuicid Which is why you go buy STUDIO headphones. Retard.

I have had a HS1 USB and a HS1A analog(still have) the USB variant died after a month, the cable on the cup started glitching and swapping left and right sounds. Neither headset can produce bass even if you were to touch an EQ (which you never should) raise the Lows by +12DB NO DIFFERENCE its just muffles the sounds.

Once you go Sennheiser you never go "Gaming Headset"

  • @Seleuicid I swapped the broken USB variant for the ANalog so I could make use of my Xonar DX, guess what, my DX produces atleast three times better sound than the HS1A's built in crap. But yet could not produce a single ounce of bass.

Where my Fatal1ty (a gamer headset, its ~5 years old now) can produce enough bass to make your neck shake, and guess pricetag? ~15-20 dollars. And has nice mids and highs if you were to touch an EQ.

  • @Seleuicid However I dont use Gamer headsets since Ive grown up and Know what is quality. Only ten year olds who play Call of Duty will go buy a "Gamer" branded headset. Its like buying that Qpad headset that costs 250 dollars or something, when it is just a rebranded dt770 with a mic (100 or so extra because of the mic and the branding) yet it sounds WORSE!

  • @Seleuicid Go to a hifi forum like Head-fi and ask them. But You will not because you are afraid of being proven wrong XD Go Sennheiser HD558 if you want accurate sound reproduction, HD518 if you want a little more umpf in the bass but suffer lower mids. Or HD598 if you want perfect headphones for a bit more classical music (yet can be used with no problems for hiphop, dubstep and whatnot) or HD650 if you want more higher end.

  • @Seleuicid Or AKG 512(rofl) will even produce better sound than 99% of the gaming headsets (excluding Sennheiser PC350/360)

And I bet you're one of those sheeps who think Skullcandy/Beatz by dr. Dre = Good headphones.

  • @Seleuicid Oh and guess what, if you go on Corsairs forum and mention another brand (like Gskill for RAM) you'll get banned without warning. Cause Corsair's desperate as hell to sell these toy products that which they are selling(headphones mainly) Though their PSUs are quality, but they are really made by another company, just rebranded.

  • @Seleuicid And if you go to the official corsair forum you will notice theres alot of posts (or was) where people complain about the HS1/A having no bass or no audible bass and other issues. Im pretty sure the return rate of those headsets were mindblowingly high as Corsair banned every user who said something about it.

  • @mupp33n Look, I absolutely agree with you in the sense that "Gamer" quality is below studio, by far. I'm not arguing that point, you are. You're putting two different fields of products in the same line. It's like comparing i7's to Phenom II's different architecture. No I'm not one of those tools that believes Skullcandy/Beatz/Bose are good brands by any means. For those that don't spend money on sound cards, or have laptops. USB audio is a fine alternative.

  • @mupp33n For you to assume I'm stating that these corsair headsets are anywhere near studio quality, you're being idiotic. If I wanted studio quality I wouldn't buy a $99 dollar headset. But I'm not a complete tool hunting for perfect sound, I like it the way I do. Sorry if that's not "good enough" for you.

  • He is opening the box like a boss.

  • He looks like he see the headsets for the first time :D

  • I never thought I'd miss the Corsair music so much.

  • Could've used some better editing, but all in all a good preview of the headsets

  • Aww maaann... This video was so awkward.
