Raven Kaldera and Tanin Schwartzstein invented Skram, Skor, and Sarge in their book Urban Primitive. Skor is who you are describing.

LOL pretty sure it was Squat. Who does appear in that book but predates the book. Sarge score scram and the rest are cool but Squat is so powerful he became a she. Score was more for shopping and finding random treasures in the street. Oh and not to forget Slick, tis well to pay him homage.

You know, about 5 seconds after posting my reply I realized I was mistaken. I went and cracked open Bonnewits' Real Magic - and there was Squat. I actually met Tanin Schwartzstein at an OTO Gnostic Mass. I wanted to ask her about the god concepts, but changed my mind when she came off really flaky.

Also I just checked Urban Primitive (I sell alot of that one) and completely forgot Screw. A verry important modern diety with a large pool to draw energy from.

Why do we need magic? What's wrong with just being and experiencing the way things are? Although, maybe my ignorance just adds to the problems. Somewhere along the line we may very well need the good magicians to assist against the bad... could be... If I make a video about Lucifer... am I just making it stronger? Egregores, certainly but I think it inserts ideologies about 'entities' falsely in all cases. While some memetics affect a group's psyche in terms of believing an external being is granting wishes (for example), it only needs to exist as a symbolic idea. Neo-pagism is the bane to Satanic Witches everywhere.
