yes.. i was just 9 months when i started to learn the piece and this video was taken and so back then i still haven't got the hang of vibrato yet.. but i guess right now my vibrato is just fine...anyways, hope you'd check out the new violin videos i'll soon be posting! thanks for the compliments though :)

there's a whole lot of difference between them... the $400 violin has a much gentler touch to it and the sound is sweeter and more refined, not like the $140 violin it has a harsher sound. nway, if you want you can just give me your email add and i'll send you the music sheet for bring me to life, alright? =)

that's so great... yes it's a fun and not to mention challenging thing to do... as a beginner you'd have feelings of ups & downs... sometimes its so hard to play it right but when you've managed to do it.. it's a major lift to your self-esteem (^_^) goodluck on your violin playing.. .hope to see violin videos from you soon...

How much did your violin cost? Did you "tape" your violin when you were beginning to play? By "taping" I meant putting the tapes with notes on the finger board :).

around $400 but its all ready a professional series Bachendorff violin, i started out on a student violin that costs around $140 only =) yes, when i was just starting out, my teacher used the fingers tapes on me... for accuracy =) but when you got the hang of the fingers position, one by one the finger tapes come off =) are you inetrested in learning how to play the violin? (^_^)

hi! first of all, thanks for subscribing on my channel =) well, i started playing around may 2008... a year and a half ago, that was my first contact with the instrument... so since i was an adult beginner at the time, i decided that i needed a teacher to help me learn so that i won't be wasting time figuring it out on my own with just instructional books-- i can't afford to be late in learning than i already am! =)

After only one year? Man you're great! I'm a40 y/o guitar,bass and sax player who recently bought a 100 dollar violin and started teaching myself. It's tough, the violin is strung GDAE and the guitars and bass are EADG. Completely backwards from what I 've played for over 25 years. Do you have any pointers for me other than get lessons or the usuall "practice-practice-practice? I've taught myself everything I know with little help and it's a good feeling to know thatI have myself to thank.

thanks... for the kind words and ofcourse for watching! what method do you use? traditional or the suzuki? my violin teacher uses the trad method (note reading, scales stuff) but i do teach myself the suzuki (relying on their books and cd)... i think that's basically it... not to mention the "practice-practice-practice" part =) and try to unwind from all the tedious stuff by trying out "real" songs.. u know? the contemporary ones =)

Not using a method, I have acouple of books, but I already know music theory, so the books get boring.I'm working on scales and such to teach me what note is where. Lessons are so expensive, and I just need some pointers on "too much or not enough rosin, holding it right, tone quality and improving it. I do play old farmiliar gospel songs that I 've known all my life so I know what is right or wron. Maybe it is the practice thing I need most. Thanks for replying!

You play very nicely...hmm i used to be in orchestra for two years in school,... i'm actually disapointed in myself for having stoped,..... do you by any chance know the best violin to get if i decide to buy one?, ofcourse with a reasonable price...... you did very good on this, Evanescence is an amazing band and you captured the feeling so much for this song!
