@cembry90 Paint is also open on the taskbar. Paint on Windows 7 has speech bubbles. Every new speech bubble is a new image. It is not deceptive at all. The whole thing could be done in 10 minutes.

I name a feature that Microsoft has copied and it is so hard for you to find a good response that you say PC was made first, a point totally irrelevant to the windows 7 vs Mac OS X topic I was discussing! And BTW. Mac was an idea from 1972. Microsoft was founded in 1975.

I will say that if Microsoft didn't copy Apple in everything they do, Apple wouldn't have a competitor left.

Plus, there's a thriving PC Repair industry that would go down without Microsoft =P

@danmacbookpro - Very true, but I found a source a while back that stated that Microsoft stole the idea of a keyboard and mouse from Apple, who stole it from Xerox. So in order for companies to stay at the top of the market, they must find ways to survive. Plus, it's still legal to rip off people, right? I see Media player companies ripping off the iphone and Zune all the time with their so-similar-it's-scary-looks.

I have just switched to a Mac this year, and I have used Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 2000 and Windows 98 before doing so. When I try Windows 7, I will give my honest opinion and, if it's even more suckish than Windows Vista, then it's back to a Mac for me.

I'm a mac and a PC, and I think that my fellow mac users need to give it a rest. Just because you use a mac doesn't mean that you're barred off from using windows, and you shouldn't get involved in something so childish as an OS war. OSX is great, and so is Windows 7. That's why I run them both on my Macbook Pro, and yes, I Preordered Snow Leopard, and I currently have Windows 7 Preordered. None of these other mac users have said anything bad about Windows 7 because there is nothing to say.

Microsoft did make their own Unix (Xenix), and if you want Unix commands in the OS, their is Windows Sua for the ultimate edition, or just download Cygwin (free) a Unix emulator. if you want the Beos like os, just Install Haiku.

I love people keep saying the only reason Macs have no virus's is the user base it too small and not worth it. My opinion is that this has little merit, as I think there are more than a few serious hackers that would love to flip the finger to Apple with a virus (not spread by installing a pirated copy of iWork.) The news alone would a feather in the cap to the person that does it. So, whenever I hear this argument I just have to laugh.

My processor can still boot into the Linux partition that I have set up on my hard drive, and run solidly, however, when booting into my 7 partition, it either locks up at the loading windows screen, or when entering the set up and maintenence screen, it automatically gives me a BSOD, this of course, being when my processor is at 3.9 GHz+, however, below 3.9 GHz, both the Linux and the 7 will boot up
