AWESOME. Wouter is the only person I have heard that can play Boot's music so accurately. Not many people can get the style right like that. Does anyone know the name of the song Wouter plays from 2:22 to 3:16?
Wouter; That's great! You certainly picked one of the greatest of all time to study. It's interesting that you use a Link. Boot's original mouthpiece, a Brilhart 'Velvet Tone' actually was very much like a Link inside. Boots told me once that his favorite album was 'Hip Boots', and that he had been unsuccessful in getting it released on a CD, so Paul Coats and I made him a CD of it. Keep it up - you sound great!
great stuff Wouter... love the lacquer on the tenor, you gotta be able to really play if you have a horn like that... and you do. Still playing the Link?
Hoi Wouter, Superb Tribute! I am happy I was there when you recorded all this.I am looking forwards to the dvd. I miss your performances now I live in Spain.
Bravo!! Great playing, I cut my teeth on Boots' playing. Grover Jr, Pickett,Kenny G(Tenor) and Randolph are tops. And now of course Mr Keirs!
