I agree with this great review, especially the young woman saying "it was fucking fun", and "Die zombie motherfucker"! I have caught myself many times laughing maniacally after running a zombie over with a truck (best weapon in the game), or tricking a thug zombie into open current from a fallen electrical wire and electrocuting himself, or the satisfying bashing a zombies head in, or cutting the top of their head off, where they stand for a moment before they fall over! Fun fucking game!

The juice box mission u prob did what I did I didn't shut down the power units at the gas station I went in from the roof so I actually had to drive all the way back and shut those down before it would let me finish it it's open world but also linger in the way that there is no modifying how u finish a quest
I really liked the game. The first part and ending part are the best, the middle was either too difficult at some places or boring at others, but enjoyable. And anyone who thinks control problems are the biggest problems should try out the analog control scheme; its awkward for honestly 2 minutes and then VASTLY improves realism and ease. Also, there's apparently a DLC that adds a survival mode coming out soon, which will be a welcome addition beyond the "quest grind". Fantastic game, really.

If you're ok with searching dozens of suitcases and boxes for random pieces of scrap, its a good game. Lots of gore and terror. The weapons are limited further in however, mostly to hammers, wrenches, and machetes.
This is clearly a review from early in the game... Like she said about the charging zombie, i hear you have to stab him in the back (as you encounter that guy in the start of act 2 she hasn't played this enough to make a review).
This game is in fact fun in the beginning and enjoyed the looting and all that but i have just finished act 2 and since almost every quest in act 2 is... Go to a, pick up x and go back to quest giver.

Having just spent the last couple of hours playing this game (PS3), I can safely say that it's very good indeed. The glaring issues such as fairly unimpressive graphics (looking a lot like an old PC port) some ocassionally pretty terrible pixelation, screen tearing and texture pop-ins could have ruined it but the immersive gameplay (believe me, you will shit yourself the first time you hear an unseen corpse scream at you) and the sheer fun of braining the undead more than makes up for it. 8/10
@Mog087 I agree with that, PC has more owners, it is the highest owned Gaming platform in Europe, but dev's would rather design for the consoles because its easier than making a up to date Game in terms of graphics, but thats all, the best Exclusives are still Console bound, the only PC excursive that looks fantastic Is Hard Reset, but i would rather play Demon souls and so many other console exclusives to count

Who ever runs the video...... Please pass on some information to the dead island DEVELOPERS. Having just spent the last couple of hours playing this game (PS3), I can safely say that it's very good indeed. The glaring issues such as fairly unimpressive graphics (looking a lot like an old PC port) some ocassionally pretty terrible pixelation, screen tearing and texture pop-ins could have ruined it but the immersive gameplay (believe me, you will shit yourself the first time you hear an unseen corpse scream at you) and the sheer fun of braining the undead more than makes up for it. 8/10

@Mog087 I agree with that, PC has more owners, it is the highest owned Gaming platform in Europe, but dev's would rather design for the consoles because its easier than making a up to date Game in terms of graphics, but thats all, the best Exclusives are still Console bound, the only PC excursive that looks fantastic Is Hard Reset, but i would rather play Demon souls and so many other console exclusives to count

90% of the time when I buy a new 60 dollar game the day it comes out and its SAVE DATA is locked I dont even want to invest time in it because of what happen to me on Resident evil 5. Resident evil 5 and many other time consuming games first released with locked save data. I beat it and had several cool weapons unlocked the a few weeks later my ps3 blueray laser went bad and then yellow light. I never was able to have a BACK UP of my save data it was LOCKED to the console and all my hours in it GONE. Now months later the released a PATCH to unlock the locked save data Im like you got to be fucking kidding me I gotta start ALL OVER now.

Who ever runs the video...... Please pass on some information to the dead island DEVELOPERS. Unlock the save data for crying out loud this is a damn RPG we need to be able to back up our save data incase our ps3 shits out one day. With it locked to the console you are save data SCREWED if your NOT a plus member. This locked save data shit needs to stop. It makes good games not worth investing hours in. WHAT ABOUT CORRUPTED SAVE DATA as well. We will lose our progress if that random SHIT happens.

I bought it yesterday for ps3 and its addicting and fun but.... it has LOCKED TO THE CONSOLE SAVE DATA you cant back up the save data. The only way is becoming a plus member for cloud storage and it has major screen tearing everywhere and slow downs ever so often meaning.... "mini lockups 1 to 2 seconds then it goes back to normal"
