I really like you covers, but I think ( and this is my opinion), they lack of a little something. I understand the feeling you want us to get, but the songs (not all, but some of them) don't carry me as much as they could. Maybe if you were to change the strumming for the chorus, or something else to "surprise" us, to keep us "interested". I think it'll bring more a little more energy and life to your cover.

@JulienDurden Thanks Julien. Maybe you could give my more recent stuff a listen? This was done some time ago now and ive recently been able to incorporate the drums and bass in to my stuff. I think its drums that were lacking from some of the earlier stuff. That said, i am proud of these earlier cover and look back on them fondly. For me, a good cover does not try to be a note for note recreation of the original. A great cover embraces the original but does something new and interesting with it
WOW man this is really an amazing job you have special talent. Not anyone can make a cover of AFD songs and change them from in your face loud n heavy rock n roll to a mellow slow song keeping it just as good but different !
i like the way you covered this song but for some reasom i don't like how most of the new covers seem dreary and gives a well, its like a sleepy/mello feeling, don't get me wrong its still a great cover

The Anything Goes and Out Ta Get Me are a little more uptempo. I also tried to keep the same feel for Its So Easy. Its really quite a difficult task to recreate the songs in a different style. Im doing this all on my own too.

What I love about Nightrain is the way it almost sounds like a child's nursery rhyme (the music, not the lyrics lol). That element is somewhat missing from your cover in the way you slowed it down but it would have been too easy to do a straight cover that stayed too true to the original.
Thankyou.I appreciate you feedback but this is the one that i am the most satisfied with as i feel it is a real departure from the original while still being faithful to the melody. I also think that it is kind of a lament about being an alcoholic. I wanted to express some regret towards the end.

Well, yes i will still be doing these videos but this project ive undertaken is quite a unique thing.I love just sitting and playing the guitar and i may do some one guitar versions of these new GNR covers but for now i have a real fire in my belly to get some more GNR covers done in this way.

Im so pumped for the project i check back every day to see if the next son is up. I can't see you to disappoint with any of the covers, I love the really dark twist you put on some of your covers, i.e paint it black. This has that twist too. Excellent as always, Looking forward to "Out Ta Get Me" can't wait to see how it turns out. It really has impact as a rock song but yes you are right, the whole point of this is to make the songs work in a different way. Thats the challenge ive set myself. I love the originals as much as anyone and wouldnt change a note on any of those records. But this is my take on them :)

The first time i did it, it sounded too much like the original, i even put the cowbell in there.I decided to go back and make a version that felt more seperate the original.Ive got round to thinking a far better tribute to the originals is making a new and unique version rarther than just straight copying.
@PrehistoricPinup Thankyou so much. I kind of was going for that feel. I wanted to take something that is recognised as a petrol pumping rock track and make it altogether the oppposite of that while still being true to the melody.

Obviously not everyone, myself included is going to like every interpretation you do but it's juts fucking awesome your'e doing this period. I didn't like the WTTJ one but It's So Easy was cool and this one is really cool. Keep'em coming man, I'm totally interested in seeing where this goes. Maybe speed up the slower songs? Haha just a suggestion if you're looking for ideas. You planning on doing Chinese Democracy songs as well?

Well, yes i will still be doing these videos but this project ive undertaken is quite a unique thing.I love just sitting and playing the guitar and i may do some one guitar versions of these new GNR covers but for now i have a real fire in my belly to get some more GNR covers done in this way.

@zacandtaylorrule Good question. I have given that a lot of thought.I know Guns N Roses never really played it after all the fuss it caused. It would seem a bit of a cop out if i didnt do it though. I once heard Axl explaining the perspective of the song. I'll have to do some research on that one. The last thing i am is racist and id hate to offend or upset anyone unduly.

Im so pumped for the project i check back every day to see if the next son is up. I can't see you to disappoint with any of the covers, I love the really dark twist you put on some of your covers, i.e paint it black. This has that twist too. Excellent as always, Looking forward to "Out Ta Get Me" can't wait to see how it turns out. But i think everyone is waiting for Paradise City, Ohhhh the anticipation is killing me. :) 5 stars and favourites :)

hmm...very professional recorded, and a really awesome voice, as always. but...hmm...I kinda miss the "punch" from the original song. But I must admit its very interesting following this project and seeing what you do next ^^

It really has impact as a rock song but yes you are right, the whole point of this is to make the songs work in a different way. Thats the challenge ive set myself. I love the originals as much as anyone and wouldnt change a note on any of those records. But this is my take on them :)

The first time i did it, it sounded too much like the original, i even put the cowbell in there.I decided to go back and make a version that felt more seperate the original.Ive got round to thinking a far better tribute to the originals is making a new and unique version rarther than just straight copying.
