I just stumbled upon your n600 swap... Much props! This is awesome! Any updates on it? I was reading the comments and was wondering if you still have pictures of the diff and how everything all bolted on the cradle, It'll help me with my project.
could you please email me pics also or one of you other guys foward them to me... ive got the same project going on and pics would be very helpful! Looks great so far! thanks for the help! dixietractorboy(AT)yahoo
Any progress to report am really interested in doing a similar swap. If you could email me some pics of how you've done the drive to the diff it'd be great. Email to team.dandism@gmail.com
I like it. Looks good. I am still working on putting giant subwoofer in my Z600. The engine will be the next thing on the to-do list. Curious to see how this one turns out. Sure could use a stronger engine in the z600. Will keep watching your progress. Really interesting idea.
i also own a 72 n600 and bought a wrecked cbr 600 and am wanting to transplant it but still have no clue how to get the trans, chain, etc to propel the car.......
I searched and wondered if anyone has attempted this swap, this is the only glimmer of hope I've yet to see.....I'd be very intererested in knowing how it worked out.
@2stroketurbo I did get it done enough so I could drive it and It is way faster than stock. I took a break from it for a while, but I hope to get it done by next year. It looks like the engine is way forward, but everything still bolts on the front.
That is so cool!. Thank you for your response. I've got a Honda 600 Sedan that is engine-less, although I have the stock diff. I'm trying to figure out how you connected the bike sprocket and chain to a diff. I would think the driven sprocket would have to be HUGE due to a heavy car body. Getting it all to fit and work is my hang up. I would love to see how you did your yours. Any chance I could see a picture of the your diff set up? Mark
I just used the stock sprockets from the bike, but since the wheels are so small compared to the bikes it works really good. I did use the stock diff out of the car and it took alot of time getting it to work. I do have pics of the diff and of it all bolted on the cradle out of the car. Whats your E-mail so I can send them to you?
I did not think about the bike wheels being larger, that means the driven ( bike rear wheel chain sprocket ) will clearance the fire wall alot better. I wondered if the bike sprocket would bolt up to the diff where the ring gear normally would go. Yes, I'd love pix. YT wont allow my direct e-mail, so, I'll spell it out. 'mark(at)microcar(dot)org'. I also have an old engine case I can cut up to support the stock diff bearings. Although, I'm not sure how the diff will stay lubed. Thanks again!
I just picked up a 600 cc sport bike engine, I wonder if it will have enough torque? Did you mount your diff to the topside rear of the cradle with a custom bearing support?
can you email me some pics too... i have a 72 n600 and just bought a cbr 600rr today for $100 and im trying to figure out how to get this all to work. thanks! my email is mike93eh@mchsi.com
