in a way, you probably don't need the warhammer pieces. if you happen to have alot of lego pieces(I recomend castle series) you can create your own battlefields and play on that. if you r a beginner, you'll need to buy the rulebook.

the reasn warhammer 40,000 is boring to the lot of ya: your not playing it! your watching and judging! play it, you'll love it, and even if you don't like the mini's read the books, the war plot on it is very cool.
i play dawn of war read the books but i never played the table-top no money...plus im 13 but sooner or later about 16 -18 i will probably start getting involved in this and probably move to an area with this near
