I think the Aston Martin Rapide's styling isn't soo incredible, from certain angles it looks ill proportioned and ungainly, it lacks cohesion overall. I love the Maserati Quattroporte GT S! But I think that this is an overstatement on your part. How about the Aston Martin Rapide? It's not quite spacious and comfortable on the inside as it suggests on the outside, but just about every reviewer calls it the best-looking sedan ever. It would be hard for me to make a chose between the two. And you're right, the new Jaguar XJ is also a very good-looking sedan.

Until Maserati got back its reputation in the automotive world, Fiat kept it under Ferrari and once it has got its image back, Fiat linked it to Alfa Romeo to reduce the production and running costs. Even though Fiat has many brands under its belt, unlike GM, it is successful in maintaining unique brand identities.

Is because Maserati shares suppliers with Ferrari and the top models of Alfa Romeo.

BMW shares suppliers with VW, Skoda, Seat, Benz, Opel and Audi.

Maserati does not goes as fast in straight line, but handles way better.

Has hand made interior and is more comfortable. I have driven both and many more.

well i feel that there is little differences in them besides the price. and 2 me things like handmade seats r not important cause i couldnt tell the differnce between them anyways so y pay the difference. and also it is much cheaper 2 maintain a bmw than a maserati and in the end they are probly gonna last the same time... if the bmw doesnt last longer.

For many they are not better or worse, just different cars.

Some people really appreciate those things: real carbon fiber, tropical wood or platinum dashboards, as well leather (alcantara) seats or headlining.

Old Maseratis were not reliable at all.

The last models are improving but BMW is a little bit better.

The most reliable German is Porsche (followed by Benz) and will be (for a long time).

For durable luxury car also Lexus or Acura are great choices (maybe not as fun).
