Wow. Neil Young is a natural for this song. Other than John, I think I prefer Young singing it.
With Beatles in mind, I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes", which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!
Yeah, I'm with the people duly impressed you held the video so steady. I would have been jumping up and down and singing. I don't know how you managed to do this...but THANKS. I bet this was mind-blowing in person.
This is so awesome. Maybe the next time I go see Paul McCartney he'll start playing "After the Gold Rush" and Neil will show up. A guy can dream, right? :P
@SoFarSoGoodSoWhat14 I know. I was thinking the same thing, but I guess they were just trying to do it their way. Sounds better with the drum fills, though.
I love Neil & Paul...This is amazing video...It's like I died and went to purgatory...SNL Skit or something...Neil Looks lost and paul looks like a Jester...FUCK!!!!
People think John or George were the deep Beatles, but actually Paul was the deepest. To learn how to hear the hidden message in Beatles songs, search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read through the section about The Beatles. Lets spread the truth. Thumbs up this comment.
Im speachless! The singing didnt even sound that good. The chemistry was out the roof ! The way Paul kept hugging Neil did bring tears to my eyes. These are two Rock soldiers uniting and sharing a moment that is pricless to them. Both Men ahave been to hell and back with their personal lives several times and to the other end of the spectrum as well. They somehow manage to let us all in and share with us the bonding that only them two could share. Priceless for us as well. Thank you!
So many Beatle versions (my fav. band) to choose from but decided to post this one simply because here is two of my all time favorte musicians ever on one stage. Not the best vocals by any means but what fun! So glad to see Paul enjoying himself. Good night , sweet dreams, and may God watch over you always~ Peace out~ Dutch
@rrossa When you get enough pocket money ...allowance ask your parents to take you to a music shop and ask the man at the counter and ask for an album called harvest and listen repeatedly .
@270ambrose I'm 55 years old. I am a fanatical musician. I have had friends all my life that love him. I have played many of his songs many times in bands in bars and at festivals. I have no idea why he is famous.
I saw Neil Young play this as his closing number at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in January 2009. Jeff Beck had played it as HIS closing number the previous night at the Sydney's Enmore Theatre as well...a little bit suspicious, hahaha… Anyway, both were great concerts. Although nowhere near as cool as what you've filmed here with Paul making an appearance.
Paul isn't drunk, he simply loves Neil Young and happens to have an open heart like the rest of the Beatles.Interesting that Neil really appreciates him.
What you say may well be true; however, that does not alter the sad fact that black crime is out of control, and that Neil Young does not feel the need to address this somewhat important issue. Now why is that?
Paul was clearly tipsy and having a BLAST! John was looking down from Rock N Roll Heaven saying "Great! 'Bout time you lightened up, ya tight arse!" ;D xoxoxoxox!
El 90 por cien del tema es de Lennon. Le faltaban unos versos y usaron unos que tenía paul por ahí:Woke up, fell out my bed. Es justo la parte en que se acerca a Neil Youn para cantar "su" parte. Firmaban juntos pero cada uno escribía por su cuenta, son pocos los temas como a little help from my friends, que escribieron juntos para ringo.O a veces se prestaban versos como aqui.
@TheOldSurehand I would have loved to be back stage ... just a fly n the wall, watching and listening to the shananigans that must have been taking place...
