I think Pierce Brosnan is the best actor that ever played James Bond.

GoldenEye is my all-time favorite Bond film.

But I have a question, am I the only one who thinks that the Bond films Brosnan did after GoldenEye weren't as good? The least favorite being Die Another Day.

The show he had on TV in the early 80's (Remington Steel )screwed him out of being Bond then. He was going to be Bond because they decided to cancel the show he was on but at the last minute they decided to do a 6th season then cancelled it for good after only shooting 5 episodes. I borrowed the Goldeneye DVD from the library, from "the Ultimate James Bond DVD Collection", on the title screen they had kettledrums playing the Bond theme, it is so incredlble. The Goldeneye sound was very new, the series had it's longest hiatus from 1989-1995, so they were looking for something "modern" and it worked, IMO

1st of All: Even though I've always thought that The Living Daylights was far superior to Brosnans films, I do think that Pierce Brosnan was a much better James Bond than Timothy Dalton.

I agree but with the exception of GE, it seems like all of Brosnan's Bonds tend to fall off about halfway through. I think TND is particularly strong until just after the parking deck car chase.

I think the fall-offs are indicative of the weak storytelling in the Brosnan Bonds. The action sequences carry the films for a while but eventually, the lack of a strong narrative/plot catches up to them.

As for the gunbarrels themselves, I prefer the TWINE version.
