Well from a disposable perspective. Disposable diapers are not made from the paper you pack your boxes or print out of a machine with imo. They also dont involve poop in your dryer and recycling the same messy pants twice. Also, as a general rule of thumb disposable diapers are engineered in a way to keep skin drier then cloth diapers. Also, disposable diapers allow you to throw them out at any time unlike stashing a nast cloth diaper in a bag to ferment in your car till you get home.
We no longer use Pampers because there is a chemical used in "DryMax" that has proven harmful to babies and fatal if swallowed...
DryMax has recently been linked to increase in infant mortality from cancer, why take a chance because Procter & Gamble is just greedy, they use chemicals not listed on the label, they don't care about baby's health, only money, that's obvious!!
What do babies care what looks good on them? It seems that parents are the ones who care the most.

I like the 7 yr old and the 20 yr old wearing diapers. That's funny! That being said, there are cloth diapers for children through adult ages.

That's paper...vs padded diapers. I know for a fact they feel better as disposables!
