we have bearded dragons, for over 10 yrs now, always kept them on sand, never had any problems..

even if i dont like this setup right here...your dragon looks healthy though..

Carpet or anything like it is perfectly fine for beardies and is actually recommended over sand. :3 If you go to a pet store they'll tell you the same thing. But if you really want to use dirt of some kind make sure if is hard, and doesn't have an easy of a time getting on everything.

People who say bearded dragons live on sand are wrong they live in hard dry clay like land with very little sand on it so it is not natural so people who say it are wrong and need to look up and get there facts stright.

The cage is of the right dimension (120 * 60 * 60, cm). Sand is a problem for impaction and it's not safe like paper or carpet. Today in the chage there are a lot of stone and other for climbing.
