  • @emhuang321 Were you there then? This was Fall 2006?

  • @crikwalker lol no. i went to sas for a year in 2009-2010

  • STOP COUGHING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so much passion

  • yeah-I might post a 2 part video featuring the whole song

  • Excellent interpretation! You are getting a beautiful sound out of your cello, and you tackle Brahms (awkward sections included) with ease. Two thumbs up!

  • all the pianists i've seen on this peice are weak in sound

  • I wouldn't know about that but the cellist did the best job of the recordings I've seen so far

  • did you get the inboxes I sent you??so funny!!

  • maybe when it's done we could do a GOOD vid of this song and I could post it -probably be the yougest of everyone!lol

  • well done!! awesome job. i'm performing this tomorrow with a good friend of mine who plays piano. :]

  • wow its awesome!

    i love this piece

    your cello is so beautiful

  • i love this piece :)

  • good play ...and good tone..i really like

  • Phenomenal. You are absolutely inspiring to young cellists like myself.

  • Beautiful! Bravo!

I'm working on this sonata myself at the moment. I love that it leaves you so much room for added expression and feeling, and you did it wonderfully. Maybe I'll eventually get it to sound as beautiful as this =]

  • I LOVE the sound you get out of your cello! I played this piece but it sounds so amazing on your instrument. *steals cello* lol :P

  • Thanks!! I also like the cello a lot! It IS for sale from my website! :)

  • This is awesome. I am sixteen and just started on this piece. You play it very beautifully.

  • I love this piece very much!!hope can watch more good cello concert here!!!

  • i like your firm tone - i'm playing this piece now and have been working on a consistent contact point and staying in the string. work on smoothing it out - no swooping, vibrato that goes from one note to the next without stopping.

  • Thanks! To maintain your contact point, one suggestion would be to add consistent pressure/weight thru your right index finger, keeping the bow in the string at all times. A suggestion for practicing continuous vibrato/legato phrasing is to count out loud (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc) while practicing very slowly, connecting each note by long slurs (longer than what is written), and vibrato each note and thru the notes...hope that helps.

  • Finally, I can get my afternoon cello concerto!
