This scene displays the script problems of GF3 and the rushed shooting/editing schedule. For one thing, it doesn't flow. Joey is suddenly angry, with little provocation. It seems that there are a few lines of dialogue missing between Joey and Michael that would have ramped up the tension. And a room full of late seventies mafioso still being anti-drugs is laughable. Basically, the scene is flat and seems like a run-of-the-mill gangster movie trying to imitate similar scenes in GF1 and GF2.
