Great Video! Try using inSSIDer, a free piece of software, to get a real-time reading of antenna performance and visible networks, as well as signal strength (RSSI). I put up a video a while back showing how to construct a directional wifi antenna using a sieve instead of a can and found that software extremely useful when testing the antenna. This is something that I am defiantly going to try, great information!

your design is nice., i think your antenna you make is just like the theory of the half wavelength dipole antenna., am i right??., but it seems to be computed the impedance of both transmission lines or wire and the length of antenna.,
