Unfortunately, the full moon parties are in steep decline, having become a blatant commercial affair. The music is R&B and the beach is crawling with plainclothes police. On full moon night you'll find 90% of partygoers wandering around drunk, gawking at 10% who came to dance. Look at the videos, they tell the truth (the ones that aren't prof. edited). Find another party spot because this beach scene is OVER and has been for several years. It's only a matter of time before McDonalds arrives.

I was there 10 years earlier. Had a damn awesome time this time round, especially after a special shake you can buy at the end of the beach.

Lots of different music, almost everyone was really happy and having fun.

1/3 were dancing, 1/3 were chilling out on the beach/bars enjoying each others company and the entertainment and 1/3 were wandering around drunk or otherwise.

I'd really recommend going! Pretty negative view you seem to have.

The islands as a whole have become more commercial.
